Would there be any good reason to save your used band-aids? I honestly can't think of any..
After you have used them.
Pfft. You all just assume I save them.

I'm not sure you know what "require" means.A small puncture wound requires
bandages.
I cauterize or lick/suck my wounds depending upon severity and location.
With a bottle of sterile water, some sterile thread, a sowing needle, and a lighter, it's quite possible to seal almost any wound that isn't immediately lethal; with skill and a little luck you could even amputate an arm, by yourself, and survive.
Don't ask why I deemed it necessary to learn this.
Well living tissue does repair itself, saving a fortune on maintenance costs, especially if you live somewhere dry & dusty.Gross.
I guess it's cheaper than dry-cleaning, though.

*Finding ways of grossing out someone with OCD shouldn't be challenging for a young kid. Perhaps the younger sister has mental deficiencies, which could be another reason to save used Band-Aids.
