I fear danger. But if it were not because of a certain unhealthy mental condition, I believe I would enjoy the change.

Like what ?!

Preferably the not so lethal. A small fight.

I like action and adventure, as long as there is not so very dangerous things involved. I would be up to finding my way around a small wooded area or river rafting, but I wouldn't be one to do things like extreme bungey jumping, or swimming with the sharks.... not me at all:borg:

i like danger as long as its not really physical like having to run and jump and shit like cia status i mean maybe ic an pull it off with proper training but since i smoke cigs my lungs are horrid and im not in touch with my masculine sporty side

dangerous i like is when its logical and you can think of a logical solution to it like cia spying and as long as you do the proper techniques and think properly you will be ok (ok i havent done anything fun or risky in like years but its fun to imagine ehhehe )

and danger is fun because of the adrenaline rush and the sense of existential being in the world and the feeling of free will and doing dangerous, risky thing is something that is very artistic (war, poetry on bravery, greatness, great generals this is a cool topic)
also psychologicaly benefiting for growth

LIfe = risk
and
Risk = Adventure and

Adventure for it to be fun must be dangerous

and the reward comes from doing the logical dangerous deed and also the extrinsic reward for doing it

ie. a prize, knowledge, skills acquired, neurological connections in your brain, you can expend your philosophical theories if your a strict empiricist because as hume stated all our knowledge comes from experience so if you experience it theres a whole wide open door for you to do not only philosophize but the chance to do greater things in the future

danger is greatness danger is good! to be brave is to dare! to lose one's footing momentarliy is better then to not take a risk at all!

I exhalt danger! for who was it that said "live dangerously and you live right" and with conquering of danger comes self-respect and realization's of ones potential!

"do the things you are afraid to do" (everyday!!!!!!!!) - elanor roosenvelt or emerson

I'm not telling you, stalker! :P
I like the thrill. When I'm playing tag and someone is chasing me, I imagine a killer is running after me and the alder line rush comes.

And yes, it does make you feel alive.

I like to do what is perceived as "dangerous" activities, like rock-climbing and remote wilderness hiking or skiing.

I think if you are in control of your situation and use some skill, experience and knowledge, the danger is only relative.

It could for example be terribly dangerous for a moose to walk around a city. Particularly during moose-hunt. To us humans it is natural, as we know the rules for staying safe in a city. Also we don't have to worry about human-hunting seasons.

The Indigenous peoples of the extreme Arctic and the Australian Indigenous people have survived in what we perceive to be extremely dangerous environments for thousand of years.

I guess the danger is equivalent to the equation:

Experience*knowledge* preparation= Level of safety

Of course, you'd have to calculate risk according to how badly something could go wrong, as in: If I base-jump off this 80 storey building and f*k up, it is likely that I will die from the impact of hitting the concrete all of a sudden.

As opposed to: If I slam the garagedoor shut and forget to remove my fingers from the edge of the door, I probably will not die from the impact of the roller door squishing my knuckles at a certain speed.

Again, that has variables, such as: If I live in some war-torn country during political upheaval and slam the garagedoor shut without removing my fingers from the ledge, it probably will not matter as much as the fact that I will have aroused some suspicion from the neighbours around me while I was screaming out loud and swearing, accidentally dropping my gun on the ground, followed by the sudden arrival of the Enquiry-we-will-get-an-answer-no-matter-what-Squad to take me away to a basement somewhere, and..........well, one can imagine the rest.

Wasn't this all just a load of codswallop?

Yes, I'm bored.

Danger is a relative thing. What some people consider to be dangerous I might consider as being fun. For example, many people have told me that it is dangerous to go white water rafting alone and it is, but to me it is more dangerous to sit on ones' ass 99% of the time in front of the tv or computer stuffing jelly doughnuts and soda down your throat.

Definitely.

I'm pretty cool headed, so I don't experience adrenaline rushes often, even when others are shitting their pants. But losing my head means losing the big picture, means you are now in control of dangerous event, rather than vice versa. That, I don't like as much, the result is usually paranoia (:borg:)

It's about feeling the sync of my thoughts and emotions with the unpredictable, silencing the doubt and letting it go. Too much resistance in us.

I'm an adrenaline addict. I like adrenaline rushes, I've wanted to skydive since I was three. (but I have pretty bad asthma so I don't know if I can) I've always liked fighting and used to get in quite a bit of fights. (Not so much now)

Actually a few weeks ago, I went with some of my friends to the mall (pretty much for the first time) and we got jumped in the parking lot. 6 asians who were trying to be black decided to come after us because one of K's friends decided to call them and threaten them and they thought it had been us. I was the reason no one was shot because when they pointed the gun at me I screamed at the to do it. I'm a 4'9 girl, the guy obviously had a sister at home because he put it down. I saw that look on his face too like "Man this is stupid" because if they would have, the situation would have been "I shot this girl because someone was talking....That's not enough reason." That and I was told later that they had planned to pull out the gun to scare us into running then shoot, and when I didn't run, they didn't have the nerve to actually kill me.

That kind of thing is rare though, normally the most dangerous I get is a fight in the backyard with my friends with a mcdonalds happy meal box on my head because it's a viking helmet. :D Seriously though, I like adrenaline with less of the actual danger aspect.

I like danger, but only if my survival and continued functioning/mobility has been accepted as a necessary condition for participation by the 'offenders' (tigers, gun-toting robots, koala bears, irresponsibility/lack of forethought, various potentially lethal inanimate objects, airplanes, wrecking balls, etc.) prior to the dire scenario commencing - it's only fair, otherwise I won't allow it. One of my real aspirations in life is to be locked away inside a rigid transparent orb with the proper life-sustaining essentials and dropped, under cover of darkness, in the middle of an ocean during a horrendously bad storm, just set to drift along the backs of immeasurably large waves and be thrown about; I'd love it.

Excellent. I just hope you don't suffer from sea-sickness.....

Those are dangerous? I like doing that stuff!
I thought by dangerous it was meant stuff like Russian Roulette XD

*facepalms*

May I suggest reading posts properly before jumping to any conclusions.......in that way one may be able to decipher the actual meaning of post........

Here it is again, the conflict of freedom vs security, or happiness vs contentedness. I prefer the latter.
Generally, when people do dangerous things for fun, the amount of fun must be larger than or equal to the risk of getting physically or mentally damaged * the average severeness of the damage to be expected * a constant based on the person's instinct of self preservation, which is quite strong in my case... or the amount of fun I get from dangerous activities is quite low. I generally have more fun pursuing fairly dangerless mental activities, so why should I bother and leave my safe chair?

Somewhat. I have an unnatural love of fire and explosives (which might end up being my undoing) but I hate fights and generally try to avoid them. I don't play any sports but I imagine something like that mountain climbing or mountain biking would be pretty fun.

I did used to do stick fights with one of my friends when I was younger.

The perception of danger is fun, like when you go rock climbing or on a roller-coaster.

Real danger is meh, you don't have logic telling you it'll be alright and the outcome is uncertain.

So yeah, I like quasi-dangerous physical activities like the two mentioned above and other things that have to do with camping and being in trees and heights and the like.
