Do you know everything?

Does it seem like you just know everything, out of pride, mostly? Like the first thought you have is right or correct no matter what, because it’s your “intuition”? Do you think you’re special? Life then becomes about impressing people with your “knowledge” or ideas.

As a reaction, I always assume I'm wrong. And then when I realize other people use that to judge me instead of listen to me, I get really mad.

I assume my first thought is wrong. Often, I can't even voice something until I trouble-shot every other alternative I can come up with, and/or identify any other variable that may effect my reasoning. If I missed something, I feel like trash and that I don't deserve to have opinions or emotions.

I know I'm not special. I don't try to impress anyone, ever. That wastes time. I only will be pointed with someone if their ego is effecting my work or performance. Ego's slow down communication, progress, and breakthrough, so I try to shut that down quickly if I have to work with it.

I’d say ignoring your first thought is a good rule of thumb. Personally, it is required for my survival.

My first thought after smelling laundry detergents is that it smells good and that I must drink it.

I never think that I know everything. But I, of course, unknowingly believe some false things. Is that due to pride? No, it's due to my ignorance of some subject matters. I don't refuse to take in new information that is contrary to what I believe because of pride.
And I make an effort not to refuse it even if my intuition tells me otherwise. But it does happen that intuition causes me to ignore new information even if it's true. And that's bad.
But when I learn more, I stop believing those things that I now know to be false.

With that said, I think intuition gets a bad rap. Intuition can be useful for proper thinking. For example, when I am problem-solving, and I get a hunch that I came up with the wrong answer, then I'll double check my solution. It turns out, my intuition is usually correct. If I use it wisely, it's useful. If I use it poorly, it's a detriment.

I ask thousands of questions mostly because I don't know anything, and my questions have gotten me into trouble many times. I was that annoying toddler, and STILL AM.

Nope, my level of knowledge and aptitude is near average. It's a little painful to realize when I measure myself against sharper individuals, but I also have a sense of relief that my ego and exceptions are realistically set. By being aware of how prone I am to making mistakes, I become a little more cautious and self-correcting, and it also helps to not take myself so seriously. I'm a little bit of a jack of some trades/master of none, but I could make an effort to change that if I'm willing to put in a bunch of work.

Yes I think all of my opinions and beliefs are correct. Otherwise, why would I think them?

In my case, I always (ok, almost always) think that I'm not experienced in the subject as the person that is talking about it. This means (at least to me) that the more experience you have with subject the more you know about it. Anyway, it would be idiotic (and dull) to assume someone knows everything. The only being that probably knows everything is a God. And even then, this kind of being probably limits voluntarily his knowledge out of boredom.

I always feel like I would like to know more. Thats about it. I have this curiousity. However most of the time its rather undirected and very hard to moblize kind of curiosity. All of it is about what you really want to do. Usually people who want to know things are the kind of people who also need the information for some reason. I mean necessity is what breeds the fervour.
