I'm going to need something when I catch up on Parks and Recreation. Going back to Game of Thrones is an option but meh, teh confuzzies..

Anyone following a series or something? I'd rather be it comedy than anything else. Foreign dramas are okay too.

My wife likes "Girls", especially the male characters. I'm not into it. Surprisingly good acting and so forth, but I've never liked coming-of-age plots.

Watching old Twilight Zone episodes is always fun. It's like going through a time machine.

My favorites right now:

Cartoon: Bob's Burgers

Comedy: Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Big Bang Theory

Family Comedy: Modern Family

Irish Comedy: Moone Boy

Political Drama: House of Cards

Sci-Fi: The 100, Once Upon a Time, Falling Skies, The Walking Dead, and Haven

From the past:
60's/70's: The Twilight Zone
80's/90's: The Twilight Zone, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Kids in the Hall
90's/00's: Freak and Geeks, Firefly

Fargo (the TV series) & Homeland are good. I've only see the pilot for Sherlock, but that show is well reviewed and liked.

Gotham if you are into Batman.

As far as comedies.... first couple of seasons of Workaholics was good. Not so sure about the new seasons.

Community is good.
If you like super heroes Arrow is good. Flash is pretty bland, but it's not completely terrible.
Attack on Titan is an anime worth watching.
Constantine is alright, but they aren't going to get a second season.

You can always join the herd and discover the magic of friendship. Before My Little Pony, I used to wonder what friendship could be. Now I know. It can be magic.

... Kids in the Hall

"I CRUSH YOUR HEAD! I CRUSH YOUR HEAD!"

Kind of lodged there generationally between SCTV and The Whitest Kids U' Know... :D

american horror story has its days...

Yeah, AHS can be hit or miss, although it has definitely pushed the bar forward in its time. Art/set design is generally good in terms of evoking atmosphere, and the acting is pretty decent. ;)

---

Also a fan generally of True Detective, Sherlock, New Girl, X-Files, TWD (again, hit or miss), Hannibal, Breaking Bad, LOST, and some other stuff I run across (i don't feel like listing it all, I could be here an hour). Still love old Warner Brothers and Bullwinkle/Rocky cartoons... they're just not as easy to find on TV.

Arrow
The Flash
Red Dwarf (worth watching, but it isn't new)

You could attempt to watch every episode of Coronation Street; all 8,451 of them (so far).

Fun Fact: It would take you more than 117 days to watch every episode back-to-back with no commercial breaks.

"I CRUSH YOUR HEAD! I CRUSH YOUR HEAD!"

Hahah! Epic!

I was trying to point out the less obvious shows that are worth watching. I agree with most of the other suggestions.

I never really got into anime, but I would recommend Totoro, and others from Studio Ghibli. Bob's Burgers (Thanksgiving Episode) does a parody of one of the scenes when he's tripp'n on absinthe. It's my favorite episode and holiday!

+1 for Trailer Park Boys. Some of the actors overlap with Haven.

yeah anything after 2010 i didn't watch.. i only recongnize like 8 up there. and of the eight i only liked kino's journey and the twelve kingdoms (which i think ended prematurely? idk)

you seem to have more of a philosophical taste in anime. you're almost completely lacking the cultic/harem ones (ones i recognize anyway). my favorites at the time were i think honey and clover I&II, gankutsuou and bakemonogatari

you should behold: the great african lord brenke bromu omu ibokasa kese kosu omu and his unimpeded absolute reign which offers no dramatic tension and no plot points owing to the streamlined implementation of any wishes he might have, and how glorious and sublime the complete lack of narrative substance
