Yea!! I teach drums, keyboard, bass, guitar (electric and acoustic) acoustic i'm better at. um piano and a whole bunch of misc instruments. And music theory
And composing is the shit.

Their are no rules in music simply what sounds good. and that even varies.

Drumming sounds good, and really holds up the feel of the music in stead of just being the rhythm.

Bass guitar/ alto sax. I've written a few things my friends quite like but I don't think I'd go anywhere with it.

Music Theory

I play drums in a band and write a good deal of the guitar and bass parts; I enjoy thinking about guitar more than actually working hard to play well. I included music theory because it translates into any instrument I pick up. Gimme two hours with the instrument of your choice and I'll play you Autumn Leaves or any scale you like :)
I can't write lyrics to save my life (they are reminiscent of Rush- the early days)

I was going to point out that there's an option missing on the poll, but then realized you're only looking for musicians, not those who want nothing to do with music...

Occasionally, I play a little bit of piano. I almost exclusively play improvisations though, so I'm not sure that really counts. Always tended more towards math than music, even though I'm consistently told that there are similarities between the two... personally? I don't see any.

Veh. Not telling.
I mainly entertain myself with the piano, but it is too bad it cannot be transported easily. (Yes, I know you can buy a keyboard, but it isn't exactly the same thing...)

I play guitar and sing. I have taken the time to learn the bass back in high school since I played it in the school band, also dabbled with the drums but I don't touch either much now days.

Also have a harmonica set I like and a tambourine:D.

Would not a piano technically be both a string and a percussion, as well as a keyboard, instrument?

Euphonium, Violin, Bass Guitar, Vocals, a tiny bit of harmonica and I mess around with music production software on my phone and computer, though not much comes of that (yet?).

I enjoy playing piano for myself, though not too well, and to a lesser extent guitar. I used to play trumpet but have fallen off quite a bit.

Sometimes I will try to make music on my computer with my keyboard and/or guitar and/or field recordings, but recently I have fallen off of that too.

I've decided to upload a few things here.

I play a wind instrument, the trumpet. I'm also currently taking guitar lessons... though I wouldn't call myself a musician yet. I occasionally play the keyboard but only in a superficial level. :p

In an intriguing yet dangerous realm.
I play the acoustic guitar (am saving for a nice electric guitar) and the piano, writing a lot of pieces on both instruments, usually in the classical style but occasionally in the modern 4 minute sound-byte style designed for short attention spans (verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus).

I do not possess an ounce of musical talent, and because my school is also one of the foremost music schools in the country I'm surrounded by amazing musicians all week. Makes me feel a little inferior

I play clarinet, drums and saxophone mainly but I've played instruments for almost as long as I can remember so I have basic talents in most instruments. Others I've played include the recorder, the ukulele, the bass guitar and the piano. I can also sing decently.

Doesn't everyone rap? That's the sort of thing you do in the shower bar schoolyard plane waiting room etc. Anyway, I play the guitar and piano. The guitar I can actually improvise with but with the piano I have to sort of follow a script because I'm not good enough yet basically.

Music is about to get more interesting for me since I've finally got a new band started with lots of dedicated musicians. Hopefully this ends up being as amazing as we can be because our lead guitar player and keyboard/bassist are like gods on there instruments for there age. I will definitely post originals whenever we get around to writing these things because I know all of your lives practically revolve around my music..

I play guitar, with a rather inexperienced but budding fingerstyle, as well as a tiny bit of piano.

AND, I have now entered the wonderful world of the accordion.

I play remarkably bad piano and have always wanted to learn strings.

The sound of my singing is akin to that of a cat being skinned alive. It's quite amazing, really. If you have glass that needs to be shattered, then…

Lot's of string instruments... just like Einstein and Holmes, two figures that frequently appear as examples on INTP profiles.
I play piano (but am not nearly as good as I should like), and have dabbled in harmonica, guitar, violin.

casually playing guitar in my mental arena
I play electric and acoustic guitar, piano, cello, and I can sing alto/soprano decently (it's clear and in tune). I also know a good amount of music theory and can read music pretty well. Now just need to work on songwriting.

I play bass guitar in a band, I've taken guitar for a couple years, I took piano for a good 9 years (and hated it for 5 out of the 9). I know a few scales and songs on saxophone, and I know a few chords on banjo.

I'm teaching myself mandolin and string bass, and I have a drum set that isn't set up yet because we have a dumb air hockey table in the way...

Puh... Ok! I've had my own grunge band in which i did the songwriting, vocals, guitar and also bass sometimes, we had about 10 gigs till we ended up all playing in different Metal bands. Nowadays I just play guitar, because I enjoy it the most, but I also learnd to play the flute, drums and a bit piano by myself. I really miss songwriting, often random guys appeared and told me that they think that I just invented a new Rock genre. Hehe

I played in my youth: clarinet, piano, alto/tenor sax, oboe

I now study: lyric singing (opera) / vocal pedagogy (anatomy/psychology of singing)

I spend probably 2/3 of my practice time singing, 1/3 on piano. I try to at least be able to play all of my repertoire, but my technique is unfortunately worse than when I was 17 (and was only really playing piano).
