Who is this person chanting: "melly, melly, melly, melly" ? (lol:D)

That was the one I meant =P

I'm counting them in the order they they're posted, so Wisp was first with his intro, then Lor, etc.

Melkor, if you go to the profile, you can see the topics which was where Fukyo posted her name.

She is also the one that claimed I was pressuring her.

And now I'm pressuring you. Go record something. =P

? I'm confused... You do know that setting fire to Belfast would go nigh unnoticed.. It would just be another topic... 'oh? Did you hear? Little english kid set fire to the city! -insert mild profanities against Saffy and then England in general-

How utterly cool.

I'll post when I get home. It occurs to me that a call to a toll number like this from work is not the done thing. Although it would be fun to close the door and have everyone wonder who I'm talking to on the phone. I'm sure they'd wonder, right? Right?

I sure get silly sometimes.

Back in an hour. Perhaps a dramatic reading of the Lord's Prayer? Nah.

OK, I'm in, and used my best-company Philadelphia area accent.

Rather than the Piney accent that comes a lot more naturally. :)

Don't know who's idea this was, but it's fun. Being 3/4 senile, it took me a long time to realize how simple it actually is, but I got there.

With the right accent EditorOne could sound like Sean Connery.

Lol:P Yes, I am a man;)

It is due to people connect your name to Madonna, who is a female singer in our famous pop culture, perhaps. It is interesting to examine the implications a person's avatar or alias has.

Can you see me now?:) I did have my avatar as I had just to prove that people see me quite different, I'm mostly seen as a no-faced whom people put different definitions on all the time, so I could act a bit surprised. It has nothing to do with suffix really, and I didn't have any idea that people would see it as something similar to Madonna or with -ess suffix. I've written some of my views on things, so are my answers too feminine to some people or can't people look behind the name?

But as with how this name came to be... One of my nicknames is Mad, but it is mostly taken evereywhere on the net, so I started to use Mad_One on the internet and it did change to Mad_Ones and from there to Madoness, it has nothing to do with how feminine on masculine I am.

Hearing you guys has been an interesting experience. Some of you sound exactly how I thought you would. Some of you surprised me (usually for the better). Perhaps the most interesting thing about this is the familiarity I hear in each of your voices despite the wildly diverse accents.

Thanks to those who have contributed. It's nice.

But why cannot people connect it to Madness.... or is it also feminine? A bit more similar to Madoness than Madonna:o:p

Let the madness begin:cool:

I think everybody was waiting for you to say, "This is Madoness!"

Then we'd all yell, "NO! THIS. IS. SPARTA!"

I always thought of your nick the exact way you pronounced it, Madoness. And it does not seem feminine to me. ;)

The word Madon when pronounced by most would sound like maiden which means:

maid⋅en /ˈmeɪd
thinsp.png
n/ [meyd-n]

–noun

<table class="luna-Ent"><tbody><tr><td class="dnindex" width="35">1.</td> <td>a girl or young unmarried woman; maid.</td></tr></tbody></table><table class="luna-Ent"><tbody><tr><td class="dnindex" width="35">
</td><td>
</td></tr></tbody></table>
<table class="luna-Ent"><tbody><tr><td class="dnindex" width="35">
</td><td>
</td></tr></tbody></table>or possibly Madonna, though not necessarily the singer..

Ma·don·na <script language="javascript">_FL_RunContent = 0;</script><script language="javascript" src="http://cache.lexico.com/js/AC_RunActiveContent.js"><script type="text/javascript"> var interfaceflash = new LEXICOFlashObject ( &quot;http://cache.lexico.com/d/g/speaker.swf&quot;, &quot;speaker&quot;, &quot;17&quot;, &quot;15&quot;, &quot;

n.
  1. The Virgin Mary.
  2. An image or figure of the Virgin Mary.
  3. Obsolete Used as a form of polite address for a married woman in an Italian-speaking area.
</td></tr></tbody></table>
<table><tbody><tr><td>
</td></tr></tbody></table>Well, -ess is a suffix attached to things to make it feminine. E.g. Waitress, Actress, etc.

Therefore, pretty much everything in your name means woman in the English language. If it was madness it would make sense, but the o changes the meaning of the word entirely.

You may blame the English language, it is rather chaotic.

You anglo-centric! ;)
Clearly from what he sounded like on the recording he is not American/English by native tongue (neither am i) so why should he adhere to english pronounciation rules?
For me the part "Madon" sounds more like "Ma"-"don", not that a, thatyou have in english with the syllable "-adon-"

I was just explaining from a native english speakers standpoint... he did say before:
But why cannot people connect it to Madness.... or is it also feminine? A bit more similar to Madoness than Madonna

I also implied that I don't have anything against other pronunciations...
You may blame the English language, it is rather chaotic.
Ogion. Always sticking up for people... :D

I apolgise if it came across as language-bashing... I was attempting to inform, not critisize. :o
