Really? You are still not clear on that?
That is an interesting way of wording that question, because it assumes you are already getting something from MBTI. What does MBTI offer you exactly?
Because all I can think of that MBTI offers is confusion, Fourier effect, and a false sense that you are actually doing something.
Does it offer an accurate way of Identifying the Cognitive Configuration of other humans?
-Hell No. It offers a retarded test. (Edit: I don't think most of you guys apprieciate just how critical this is. If you cannot accurately identify a cognitive configuration in the first place, then it does not matter what you theory says, all of your calculations will be off. All of your descriptions will be irrelevant, all of your advice about anything will be unusable, all of your statistics will be warped. You literally cannot do anything, and cannot trust a theory that cannot even get this oh so basic step right.)
Does Pod'Lair?
-Hell yes, and in addition to just accuracy, it offers the Five Gears of People reading, a methodology in which you can physically SEE the Cognitive Configuration of a person, as well as how they are using it, and how well they are using it, as well as what functions they are concentrating on at any given time. That is pretty bad ass no matter how you slice it.
Does MBTI offer a methodology in understanding how different Cognitive Configurations dynamically interact (Romantically and/or otherwise)?
-No, but Pod'Lair
does (Social Alchemy), combine that with People reading and you can use the two in tandem in real-time, again, pretty bad ass.
Does MBTI offer a methodology in which one can use to actually develop themselves?
-No, but Pod'Lair does. (Peak Pathways)
Those are just three examples, but the applications are numerous, and I haven't even gotten into the other Seven Pathways that make up Pod'Lair.
If you are serious about actually wanting to read more about it, I would highly recommend checking out our new
front page, it has already gotten good reviews from previously unsatisfied INTPfers.
