I guess I could make this thread useful by asking how many posts do I need to have to post links? I tried to post one and it says that a moderator has to review it. It still hasn't showed up after a day.

Actually, there is no restriction on posting links --- or anything else a member may do --- on new members: but there is a bug in vbulletin which selects random posts ( often those with links or attachments, or even posts with a merely tiny number of characters ) and proffers them for moderation.

This is something neither wished for nor pleasing to the administration.
