Is now a good time to point out that 90% of the world is full of idiots?

Neither the original picture nor the one in this link work for me, either.

Although whatever this is sounds pretty funny.

It's people saying on fb that Japan deserved the tsunamis because of pearl harbor.

The downside of Freedom is that it allows one to be free to be an idiot, besides I think that these people are just Norwegians who emigrated to America...:kilroy:

If it wasn't for people like these, burgers would be much more expensive.

It's not really surprising just reaffirming. I can't see how anyone'd be shocked.

It is pretty crazy to say that stuff though still when the psychological distance between Japan and the West is as close as ever with social networks and the like.

When you think things can't get any worse, look down ...

stop thinking and let them get better. You have reached bottom and nowhere to go but up ... is quite possible. So look up instead.

Why are we sickened? Are we disgusted at their stupidity in linking events which are unlikely to have any true connection and neither of which have had any personal impact on them (too young for pearl harbour, and not japanese)? Or disgusted at their lack of empathy and belief in vengeance/etc?

The mind...
I'm sickened by the complete lack of reason and the ignorance. I've actually never met a Japanese person who was bitter over Hiroshima or Nagasaki, though I'm sure they probably exist, and the only people I've ever seen have a complete mental breakdown on the Atomic bomb ground zero in Hiroshima have been Americans, not Japanese. It seems like America, not Japan, is the country that has been most affected by the atomic bomb. It's just ridiculous to equate an atomic bomb with retribution for Pearl Harbor and even more ridiculous to equate say it's retribution to a natural disaster.

I recently linked to this on facebook with the a body of text claiming it was the de facto reason I was so jaded and considered a vast majority of people "unworthy fleshbags" but in the discussion that followed, a few good points were raised.

I keep hearing my foreign friends referring to "Americans" as worthless due to "all of us" thinking this. Its kind of funny because before you posted this, I never heard or seen anything outside of constant support for Japan over both Facebook, the local news, and around town.

Not only are the people who say this ignorant and inconsiderate jackasses, but they're a reinforcement of that "Americans are ignorant, inconsiderate, and stuck up" image that I so very much hate.

I think the best part is that there are people who believe that Japan deserves karma for something which happened 70 years ago: not only is karma slower than I'd expect, its aim is poor since a nice majority of the inhabitants in Japan are either less than 70 years old or even United States soldiers stationed there. But, of course, thats inconsequential if you're blindly hating an entire race of people. With that said, I felt it was worth clarifying due to my initial "I hate the majority of humanity" outlook when first regarding the link: I like humanity. I think we have a lot of potential, but I also think stupidity is more prominent than intelligence: as well as disregard for others. Which is just sad. Without knowledge, intelligence, and general goodwill toward others of our kind, we're basically just another virus draining life from the planet.
