What would you do/be?

Some stupid commercial asked me today where I want to be/do in the future if I could be/do anything...

I sometimes wish I could be a rock. I don't want to die. I'm not filled with sorrow or depression. I'm explaining this because most people think I'm showing signs of depression when I say I want to be a rock. I just want to live like a rock or perhaps under one. I want to see the world as it passes by like a river over a boulder but not be affected by it. I want to be uninvolved. It seems like if I were a rock I could be cool (temperature wise and emotionally), calm , and comfortable. The three wonderful C's. Above all I could observe but not interact.

Wouldn't life be wonderful as a rock?

...although not being able to eat phad thai would make me sad indeed...How about I be a rock that eats phad thai?

Anyway, if you could be/do anything what would you be/do? Please for the love of anything you hold holy don't say rich/good looking/famous...boring.

There are some belief systems where there is an inorganic form/stream of consciousness. I would like to be one of these lizard-type beings I saw this one time when I smoked this salvia stuff. Like a hominid-lizard. They had a strong communion with this inorganic consciousness and a mastery of nature/natural consciousness. I wanna be the lizard king, then I could do anything

i dont know actually, i very much like my current position, no matter how vehemently I may deny it at times; at the very bottom, nowhere to go but up with infinite routes to get there. eventually ill be forced to take one, but I wish i could just stay in stasis here; every choice available without any urgency to pick one.

I'm stuck between dolphin and bird. Mostly because I've always longed to be able to take to the sky or sea in such a free fashion. In all my dreams I can breath under water or fly...so it seems to be the natural choice to me.

However, I must agree I would sorely miss pad thai...and chocolate.

I'd be an intangible "being" known as the media. I'm just thinking of the possibilities if the media were a single being telling people what to think. Maybe in such a state I could encourage more independent critical thinking.

I wouldn't want to be God. Think of all the ethical responsibility you'd bear. No thanks! You'd also be omniscient. You could not learn and nothing would ever seem new or innovative again. Dreadful, boring, stagnant existence in my opinion; even if you can shape the cosmos to your will.

I'm fairly sure I've said this before, but I'd want to be Doctor Who. All of time and space to explore and millennia at my disposal to do it. I even like the idea regenerations. It would force you look at the world in a whole new perspective. However it always annoyed me that the doctor was always a humanoid white male. I'd change all the variables. I think I'd also shuffle through all 8 N personality types.

If you were a rock you couldnt see or feel anything. You would have to be a rock with eyes and a brain. The brain couldnt be human as human brains have physiological needs, psychological needs and you would also like to be calm and comfortable at all times.

I would also like to have a modifyed brain, but one which can change the rate and direction it perceives time, has no dependence on reality at all and can be stimulated by its own imaginary content just as well as reality (feel and react to sensations as they were real).
I would like unlimited memory capacity and much greater processing capacity than any human brain, but have a system which alters memorys and perceptions so that I am kept in a permenent state of delusion where I have im constantly working towards some goal that I can never fully achieve (but I am completely happy and unaware of this).

I'd have to cosign with Cognisants desire to be a transhuman, but with one addendum: I want to be an amorphous superintelligent network of nanobots, able to change shape, pass through solid objects, spread out (far enough that I could experience several cubic miles of space at once), and able to experience existence on the quantum scale, along with the classic scale we are used to.

Either that, or I'd like to be a recursive split personality. I'd be me, plus an ENTJ version of me, and I could change between personalities at will, each one consulting the other. In this way, I could use my own expertise when doing anything.

Traveling through time, time travel, is a verb.

My reason for wanting to be a shapeshifter is so I could always be something new and always get out of things. Always be amused, always have a new shape and if things went wrong- an escape. It's not that I don't a form at all. Shapeshifting would give one a lot of abilities, you could fly, swim, climb, camouflage. . .

I have an RP character who's a shapeshifter and it's fun to play it. Not deep, but fun, you never have to be too commited or concerned about anything. It's that on the outside looking in.

I like the idea of shape-shifting/becoming a shadow...I think being a crazy shapeshifting shadow creature wouldn't be so bad. I mean, as a shapeshifter we wouldn't really have to base our idea of sanity on simple human notions would we? We could be stark raving mad but who would care or even notice. Being sane is overrated I think.
