Everybody wright just one word about themselves, and we'll collect them all to form a definition of ourselves as INTPs.

I'll begin:

Trapped.

I often feel like I'm trapped in a society that was designed for shallow, outgoing people who are completely oblivious to the real problems around them.

I wouldn't call INTP's oblivious, oh well. This is a word about yourself after all =o
I know I am. When I was relatively young, I had a number of women (girls, really) practically throw themselves at me. I was clueless. Same with normal interaction with kids in school. Didn't have a clue. Shame, I might have had more fun as a kid if I had been more aware of social cues and whatnot.

devil's advocate :)
Definitely this one for me, too. Most people hate it :)

Well, from what I know of myself and the few other INTPs that I've met, we seem to have quite a bit of creative energy. We observe the world around us and try to make sense of it. All of those observations then have to go somewhere (be channeled), so as not to overwhelm us. It seems that we prefer to express this as art, poetry, writing, ect... rather then in a more personal, emotional form of expression. I think that what differentiates INTPs as channels is that these forms of expression are not only longer-lasting, but the implications of art as opposed to a more personal form of expression more easily conveys something pure. We are able to see past all the bullshit of the individual, and grasp a concept, an archetype, shaping it into something that is relatable to others in a very basic, primitive way.
So channels for creative human energy, I guess.
Eh.

I see, that doesn't mean every INTP is oblivious.. I for one, am not oblivious, at all.

Disorganized.

And for the record, I agree with oblivious. We must be oblivious because the rest of the world seems to be okay with the way it functions and we don't get it. They all do (at least they seem to). I have certainly felt oblivious at times, especially when I was younger.

On many fronts of life, I keep trying to experience things through hypothetical knowledge and research, even though I know I need to just move forward and experience. But I barely know where to start. This goes for school (a couple weeks from starting classes in a new major of computer science), romantically (I'm a late bloomer that people keep asking for advice, but all I can do is attempt to guess better than the next person), socially, in just about everything.
