I'm noticing that us INTPs tend to be either very eclectic in our clothing choices, or very plain. I go back and forth myself.

What style of clothes do you usually wear? Jeans and tees? Business casual? Graphic tees (if so, what type of designs? Text? Logos? Macabre images? etc.)

I'm interested to hear what other INTPs like to wear, because I have a theory that clothing choice may be dependent on enneagram type, more than MBTI.

I stick to black, grey, dark blue, and dark green colours for casual shirts, long-sleeve, tucked-out, alternating between buttoned and unbuttoned coupled with plain white, grey, and black t-shirts.
Style of shoes... Casual dress shoes, or, sneakers (all-black Vans). I have a preference for the former.
Black jeans (skinny or slim) or dark coloured trousers.
I avoid clothing which exhibit branding unless it is subtle. I regularly wear long-sleeve shirts and feel awkward in t-shirts owing to my build (winters are far more agreeable to my fashion sense than summer).

I am also very drawn to the dress sense of men of the past such as...

Otherwise here's a visual representation of my general dress sense..

I always just wear jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie. When is gets hotter I switch out my jeans with shorts, and get rid of the hoodie. Sometimes I'll just wear jeans and a t-shirt.

ENTP here.

The staples (work, casual, everything):
  • Buttoned long-sleeve shirt; either solid colour or a pattern; sleeves rolled up a little past the elbows; ironed; tucked in if I'm meeting with a client.
  • Chinos.
  • Leather boots.
  • Ray ban Clubmaster shades

In winter, add jacket, scarf and beanie. In summer, switch to flip flops & possibly shorts.

Navy super 130s suit for formal wear.

That's it. This is one area of my life where I've removed almost all decision making.

I'm not usually picky about brands, but I do wear a lot of Puma stuff... dark colors, fitted. I absolutely can't have shirts that have a ton of extra fabric around the arms and bottom. It just looks sloppy and weird. I rarely wear shorts when going out, only working out mostly. Depending on what part of town I'm in I'll be in a black tracksuit, sneakers, aviators and a pulled down ball cap.

Cargo pants and Chinos
T-shirts on weekends and floral pattern button ups at work.
Slip on leather shoes or runners if I'm traveling/camping.

It's winter here so I'm wearing a jacket that's several sizes too big because I like the personal space it gives me.

My theory was that 5w6 would wear more business casual type attire, where as 5w4 would wear very minimal and comfortable clothes. But considering you and I seem to dress EXACTLY the same (minus the skirt/dress), my theory is no more.

I wish you luck with your parasite infection. From what I've seen in anime, those can be a pain.

I tend to be either super-casual (t-shirt sometimes with art or funny quips or imaginative stuff, plus jeans/shorts/cargo/sweatpants + sneakers or sandals, I also like zip-off sweatshirts) or I go for something kind of shabby chic/eclectic/bohemian in nature, including silver and unique jewelry (rings, bracelets, earrings, occasional necklace). I'm okay with flower dresses. My clothing is limited by what looks good on me (some designs/cuts look better on certain body shapes), but with me getting back in shape, my options will open up again.

I really don't like "dress up" clothes like business suits, pantsuits, and "stiff" things that are all about being exact, unblemished, crisp, perfect. It's all go to be lived in.

I usually wear big sunglasses -- the lenses are always some kind of brown, I don't like the black glasses which adds a black filter to your vision, I like the softer amber filters.

I change my hair color frequently. I've had various shades of brown, red, and most recently went blonde for the summer. I'm looking at a very dark red for the fall/winter this year. Sometimes I paint my nails, sometimes I go for months without doing anything; it depends if I am in the mood and want to manage with upkeep.

I'm a 5w4 and yup, I think that comes out in the more eclectic/artsy/bohemian end of how I dress... I like things that match how I see myself and express something unique about me. (That's the 4 angle.) And then sometimes I am too caught up in what I'm thinking about or creating and it's just the bare basics... t-shirt and non-descript bottoms.

Your theory should be valid but hey reality errs ;-)
Shadow king is still in me, but what can I do? There are days when wearing dress appear to me as a very good idea.

big winter jacket! Yes Yes, I want one! but maybe not so oversize like this runway pics.

@ Jennywocky I once tried to mix tomboy look with artsy boho and finished looking like this man:

I still hope to figure it out somehow. But fashion is so hard ... nah I'm to lazy.[ edit: 4 X but ]

I'm not even sure if I'm 5w6 or 5w4... The first time I'd taken some test, it said 6w5. Then I took another test and it said 5w4... so...
___
But anyways, I usually wear a T-shirt and leggings. I wear skirts when I'm out of leggings, mostly because that one pair of shorts I had was extremely uncomfortable. Otherwise, I'd only wear skirts and dresses for some special occasion or to try on a new product.

I'm also very susceptible to the lack of heat, so I often wear jackets- usually winter coats in Late Fall, Winter, and throughout Spring. It's only when it gets to Summer that I might not wear any jacket.

As for shoes, well, whatever's available at the moment and does NOT make me uncomfortable. I rarely wear accessories nowadays (even watches are a bother).

most color t-shirts with no logos or anything on them or band shirts. I'm not trying to be free advertisement for brands, they already get enough of that from other people. Basic as possible basketball shorts or sweat-pants depending on the season. Those are nike or reebok usually. Vans for shoes and a long sleeve zip up hoodie for the fall/winter

Enneagram 5w6, though I have tested as 6w5 as well. The description for 5w6 holds more true.
Usually leggings + cardigans/sweaters/blouses.

I also wear some dresses and business casual clothes. But my go to is alternating between the three pairs of black leggings I own and whatever top is clean. In the summer I switch to my three identical cut shorts (I have the same shorts in 3 colors) and tank tops/tank blouses.

My summer style inspo:

I'm naked at home, and almost always home. Imagine that...

If it's low-key, I usually wear shorts (pretty much one of the same two over the last five years - one covered with skulls, and the other plain and gray, with a single long fringe on each side). Shirts that are like golf shirts made of tee-shirt fabric (I don't know what they are called.) Solid gray or black, or dayglo green or pink. Sandals (about 30 pair), but kick them off when I'm not moving.

Anything that calls for business casual or above - $1,500 suits and $600 shoes (collect lots of both, wear them maybe three times each). 90% of the suits are charcoal with fine blue pin stripes and cuffs.

I have one pair of jeans, no tennis shoes - instead, one pair of deck shoes covered in skulls, and a couple funny tee's I won't wear. Business casual is a suit, no tie, and black deck shoes with grey skills.

Overall I usually look plain and gray at first glance, but with a lot of subtle detail. My daughter says I love to accessorize.

I live at extremes. Do most INTP's? I have two cars - a nice roadster I'm afraid to drive, and 12 passenger 1-ton van too big to drive.

Right now doesn't work for me, if you would like to schedule an appointment my next opening is in about 55 years, there is a cancellation fee if you change your mind within two years of the procedure.

I know a dude who wanted to work in finance just so that he could wear a suit to work. I do pretty much the opposite. I try to look like a bum. I call it "business bohemian"

I feel that the moment you put on a suit, you become constrained in your behavior as well as your thought. People who always dress overly formal are always the dullest thinkers.

I wear the same type of jeans and work T-shirt everyday to my job.

Outside of that I like White Adidas, Loose blue Jeans and a shirt to suit my mood. It may be a anything from a Hobby inspired T to a J. Lennon t-shirt to a nice designer shirt from a high end retailer. I guess what i'm saying is, I'm comfortable in Jeans and use the shirt to express my mood.

I wear regular jeans (not skinny), a t-shirt, sweatshirt, and tennis shoes almost every day. Sometimes when it is cold outside I will wear a flannel shirt. When it is hot, I will exchange jean or cargo shirts for jeans. The only time I wear dresses is for funerals.

My lack of style is apparently so bad it was an example of what not to do in my mom's fashion advice book...

Whatever that can be had for free. And that is quite a lot. A lot of what is thrown/given away is even unused. Like, why do you buy it if you are not going to wear it? Is there some brain malfunction in play?
