I generally enjoy thematic music from the 50s and 60s, including doo-wop, AM radio pop, and rock and roll / surf especially with the 'wall of sound' production technique. Besides the actual sound what I like are their atmospheres of nostalgia.

Same here, I discovered it during junior high, played it out, forgot about it, then rediscovered it during high school. Always resonated with it on a personal level.

I don't feel a big difference but it's as good as the original. Still groovy(it's hard not to want to dance to it).

I listen to Requiem for a Dream (Lux Aeterna) when I'm upset or frustrated. Makes me feel epic :smoker:. I also listen to Molotov Jukebox when I'm just plain happy:D.

This song is a major relief after a series of pretty dark sounding songs on their album, Ágætis byrjun. My favorite part is at 5:20 when the guitar comes in and hits you like a freight train. I recommend loud listening.

I love the way it ends, but unfortunately the you-tube version cuts it short.

I made an itunes play list for this once. It was funny as the songs were sort of not what i mainly listen too. Most were rock from 78-86. I will list a few here

which sort of seem normal they are fun songs. but I realized i need one extra song for when i was really pissed off. It sort of takes me up and after a few listens I am all pissed off out.

It's usually the few happy songs by artists who make depressive music. The Smiths, Joy Division, Radiohead and other mainly British bands for some reason. And IDM but then it's a different kind of happiness like "I can keep existing because Aphex Twin."
