Red, of course. Had my room painted that color as a kid for awhile - I think that's what turned me so aggressive to be honest.

I love the color of cobalt blue glass:

I wonder.. what is it about color that evokes emotions so instantaneously?.. perhaps it's that the visual cortex is part of the mammalian brain, and therefore more closely tied to the senses of the limbic system? *ponders*

I don't really have a favourite colour. When I try to force myself to pick a colour in order to satisfy the question, I find myself inserting different colours in different contexts. So, I guess I can have an appreciation for a colour within a certain context. Like Phoenix, I have an affinity for that blue hue in glassware (I collect blue glass things -- which is funny because I never knew I was collecting until I found a consistent pattern in my glass-buying habits). So, when discussing colours as a preference, I better relate to that of clothing:

For example, I would be very hesitant to put on a yellow dress (or any dress for that matter ), but I have a preference for yellow flowers and gemstones. So I would conclude from this observation that I don't like yellow as a dominant colour, I prefer it as splashes, or points of subtle attraction. I do own a pair of bright yellow gum boots, for example.

I had some insane impulse a few years ago where I rushed into a very expensive shop and bought a beautiful fitted bright yellow knitted top. However, upon wearing it (if walking by myself) I found people shouting at me in the street, so I quickly stopped that.

But I prefer to dress in black (hi PNB), or dark blues (navy, indigo); sometimes turquoise.

I have some red items, but find myself tearing them off after a few hours to change back to a more subtle colour. Not sure what that says about my psychological state...:phear:

I wear some green items: moss green is a preference here.

But I adore the bright greens of young leaves of lush forests and the vivid colours generally found in flowers. I detest bright and flowery clothing though. I do own a vintage-style dress that has some subtle flower pattern, but it is very abstracted. So I guess I don't mind abstracted representations of nature for clothing.

Sometimes I have to wear purple. I have a pair of purple jeans, but I can only wear them when I feel 'brave' enough and don't mind the attention.

Most of the time I want to avoid attention though, so I dress thereafter. I sometimes wish I could wear a Hijab, like Muslim women do. If I'm in a particularly vulnerable or annoyed mood, I secretly long for a Burka or a Niqab.

Or an Invisibility Cloak -- that would be perfect.

So you do that too..? I don't usually think to buy glass, especially since it's so expensive. But whenever I run across something cobalt, I at least strongly entertain the notion of getting it. I also share your affinity for hues of clothing (you've got good taste imo).

(seems like we resonate on a lot of little things like this ^^ )

I really have rather variable preferences, like Polaris, but even worse. One day I'll wear all black, one day floral patterns and pastel colors, another one bright pink and purple.

Variable.

Deep blue is always a good standby (not necessarily for wearing, just the color) due to its tranquility; deep vibrant colors in general are favorites; but I also think of color more in terms of context and mood and purpose, not necessarily in isolation.

As I get older, I find my appreciation for bright colors growing, so my palette is expanding. I can also appreciate some types of textures prints.

However, I don't think I will ever be a fan of pastels.

As far as clothes go, black is easy to match, is slimming, and can provide some stark definition.

I like natural colors as they appear in the world. Sometimes, for reasons I don't know or can control, I see them in stark contrast to each other and they stand out so vividly (I lack the words to define it). It doesn't happen often unfortunately.

The neon colors o o o o tend to annoy me. And yes they do appear naturally but less often to me.

Surviving the neon 80's, including back-pocket oversized combs and poofy hair, should be considered a status symbol rather than a detriment. (And yes, it's about all I've got going for me.)

I do think that people respond to colors based on (1) their mood and (2) their personality, since certain colors contribute to certain moods which then are in sync (or note) with the personality in question.

But it's a fuzzy high-level description.

Well, what we're providing is color therapy and matching, to improve your appearance and emotional self-esteem.

The blue(s) here

It's like being out in the ocean underwater after dusk or before dawn
Everything is quiet
You are alone
You reach out and physically touch someone - you connect, but you're still alone. How do you truly connect to another being?
Resonance of shared values? Time?

The painting itself means very little to me, it really is just the blues. They're so special.

They feel like alone (And that's only "alone," not "lonely."

Ultramarine, cornflower, saphire, teal, other shades of blue, white, dark purple and mixes of red and blue or blue and green. Colours of the sunrise and sunset. Most likely connected to a concept, rather than a colour by itself. It likely resonates on the emotional and aesthetic level.

I really like the darker colours. Black, deep blue and dark purple(dark lavenderish). They fit my mood pretty well. Although if I'm in a better mood and I get asked the same question, I will likely choose lighter colours..

Wow. Whatever the subject matter happens to be, you did completely capture the KINDS of colors that resonate with me, especially the blue. Thank you for this picture, that really nails it.

Well, it was either that or "Do you really wanna hurt me?" by Culture Club.

I am glad I made the right choice.

We spell "favorite" that way in the States. However, it's spelled favourite outside of American English. The extra "u" (i.e. colour) bothers me greatly.

what's this imperative to have a favorite colour? I accept them all just the way they are: black, grey, green, blue.... with no preference. Although I must say that studies have demonstrated that the natural colors are the most prefered and relaxing for the human eyes.( sky-ocean blue, green, brown).

What is the color you most often choose to wear? What color do you paint your walls? What color is your car? What is the most common color you just seem to be attracted to after conidering more important things such as utility and the cost of these items?

When I was a child of about 4 or 5, the first color I had a preference for is green. Over time that preference gave way to considerations of which color looks best in the context of the subject. Sometimes, when all things are equal, and I have a choice of colors and can't make up my mind, I will default to green out of nostalgic or sentimental reasons. So in a sense green is still my favorite color. I did actually buy this green guitarImageUploadedByTapatalk1403365134.371910.jpg in part because of the color, but eventually sold it in favor of the red one ImageUploadedByTapatalk1403365223.532296.jpgbecause the red one was simply overall better.

Well that seem to be perhaps a question I would be able to respond to (or almost) ... Well a general answer would be that I love the most naturally neutral(or neutrally natural one :p) colour one can find for a car, clothes, walls, .. Etc

Black, dark blue, grey and white being associated with neutrality are therefore the kind of colors I'll go for a car, clothes... Although black is not very suited for walls. :p

My favorite colour would be than Neutral or chameleon or ninja perhaps.
:phear::phear::phear::phear::phear::elephant:

PS: I wonder also what the repercussion of interior colors are on mood, concentration, states of mind... I mean, having such an anti-natural colour as bloody red or canari yellow on your walls must be something..

I don't really have a favorite color, but I'll usually wear black, light blue, or gray. My glasses are white, but I chose them because they make quite a bit of contrast against my bushy, dark eyebrows.

I'm always inclined to answer Black.
Although, that's not really first date material, but when I try to think of another, actual, colour, I find my self flitting though a few in different contexts.
I do enjoy rich colbalt blue and forest green.
I do have a distinct dislike for all things pastel and pink, as I prefer my colours bold.

I am slightly obsessed with neon colors and I like my neutral pastels too. I prefer to wear black, white and gray (but I'll wear anything available). I like shiny, flashy, glittery things.

My current location is classified.
Emerald green has always been a favourite of mine. I'd have to say one of my least favorite colours is Color Number 216-190-216. Black, Purple, and Red are on the top of my list of colors.

Favorite color will vary for everyone. If you really pay very close attention, some days you'll look at a certain color and you won't feel like wearing it. Colors can be therapeutic, but they can also worsen a current imbalance. For instance, if you're highly stressed/irritable, the last color you want to wear is bright red. Similarly, if it's a cloudy/rainy day and/or you feel down, dark colors like black or navy won't help with that.

Pssh. Since when do average three year olds have favorite colors? They don't even know their colors half the time. Ask an old lady. She's got a favorite color.

Violet/purple. I can not make the distinction. But I imagine Violet is my favorite color. It is a color I always think is nice when I see it.

I don't have much in this color myself, a few clothing items I think, that haven't been used in years. But it is very nice to look at.

I've considered coloring my hair in light violet. I saw a person at a store a year back or so that had done just that. Magnificent. Really nice. I regret not telling her so, as I should have. But I was in my own thoughts as usual, and the full impact of the scene didn't hit me until later.

I used to like sky blue when I was little but I got around to liking a darker shade of green more. Now my preference is some-sort of light/foresty green. I don't mind browns either. Brown black white grey.
