i've probably just made a bad impression on all of you for my obnoxious title. but i'm actually trying to introduce myself, and i figured i'd try to get some extra attention...

i'm totally awkward. if you ever met me in real life i would not come off the way i sound when i type/write/whatever. but! like a true intp, on that rare occasion i develop a close relationship with someone, i will not not NOT stop talking.

i don't know what to say. i'm only 23. i took the mbti test in high school, when i was 16, and again in college last year and had the same results. even when i was in preschool, i knew something was wrong with me... now i can actually give it a name. unlike most of you (or so it seems after 20 minutes of lurking various threads), i don't know much about other types. my college course touched on them briefly, but not enough for it to stick.

one thing i was wondering, for all you intps, is what your relationship with animals/pets is like. i have ALWAYS had a deep connection to animals. and kids. i mean, like, seriously deep.

this intro. is way too long. my apologies. it's past my bedtime, anyway.

i'm looking forward to learning a lot on here!! good night :)

Because they can't get to you like other people. Kids and animals are pure at heart, but mostly animals. It seems like my dog is the only one who understands me, though I guess that's just an illusion.

Welcome, btw.

I, for one, am glad to know that being an INTP is equivalent to having something wrong with you.

For a moment - only a very brief moment - I thought perhaps "macncheese" was this forum's equivalent of macGuffin. Heh.

It's not very common to find an INTP that types without capital letters. Welcome!

And yes, I always feel a very strong bond with my cat. And I can communicate to kids very well. I approach them as equals. I used to be so annoyed everybody would look down on me as a 6 year old...

I'm not sure, but it's rather chilly.

Don't worry, that wasn't directed at you. That was directed at the person who is actually named Cheese, not macncheese. It's a little squabble that was carried over from another thread into this one. Cory means you no harm (yet).

No, I was responding to the OP. I'm fairly convinced at your authenticity, Cory.

I don't mean to insult you, but I really doubt you are an INTP. Your mood, personality, communication style (including, for example, your lack of capital letters and particular use of punctuation, your speed of communication, your intensity, your volume, use of the word 'totally', repeated "not not NOT"), et al. all suggest otherwise to me. You should look into getting retyped.

You are welcome here anyways, though you might want to go easy on the explanation point and caps in the future. It's a bit unnerving. :phear:

^Agreed except explanation points are very useful for explaining things. Here watch, let me explain the meaning of the universe: !!!!!!!!!. Doesn't that make more sense now?

^Seconded.

Regarding pets and kids.
I like animals, I guess.
Not a fan of kids. At all.... They're obnoxious and annoying.

I'd welcome you, but I haven't been posting for very long (not since a few days ago, actually).

I'm still a bit ignorant about forums, so I find posting to be a tedious task.
Eh.. I'll get there.

I love animals. I'm something of a cat lady -- I own seven cats, and I miss them very much if I ever go away on trips. >.>

I rather enjoy children. I get along with them because I see them as equals [as others have said] and I can be rather childlike myself.

Welcome to the forum! D: Your title certainly got a lot of attention. :p

i, for one, am perfectly okay with a lack of capitalization (and i don't particularly care about punctuation, as long as i can comprehend what you're saying).
