I've noticed that my voice is extremely passive. I'm talking about the sound of my voice being not only non-deep / low compared to most men, but the volume of it is severely limited. In a group of people, I always have trouble speaking over someone because there is a volume limit my voice can't get past even if I try. Even screaming is almost impossible: after I reach a certain volume, trying to go higher results in a silent gasp. It's not social-anxiety because I have decent self-esteem and doesn't change when I test my voice when alone.
I was just wondering whether this is a characteristic shared by any of you, and whether it is INTP-related, or is just something unique to my physical makeup. I do have a very narrow throat (food doesn't go down easily without water), and it seems my voice emanates from just below my neck rather than in the stomach, but I'm not sure if this is completely the reason. Do any of you have this type of voice?
