A/ Which icons ? Buttons, post-icons, smilies... ? All seem present.
B/ Banners. Let's hope that someone graphically inclined can rework these old styles, it's to do with PSD files which are re-edited then placed somewhere in the /images/style folders. We only have 4 alternate styles: it's difficult to find new styles that aren't garish plus with a lot of styles comes template editing on every new one for every hack added to the forum.
C/ The vBulletin default style is even more bright and cheerful than I ever remembered... *puts on dark glasses*
