So today in history class I only managed to answer half the questions on a pop quiz in time. I wrote at my normal pace figuring I'd easily pass it in before the time limit (the whole test was answering questions with a few sentences). When I was half way done the teacher said 2 minutes left (only time we got a heads up on the time limit during the whole quiz) so after the quiz I asked for more time. I was declined it because i don't have a learning disability pass but the kid who didn't finish who had one was allowed to.
I think this is absolute bullshit basing whether I can continue or not on if I have a learning disability. What if I need more time to word what I wanna put down because my tendency is to word things precisely as possible? Plus anyone can probably get one of those passes since there is such a grey area on being able to get one. The whole reasoning behind it is so anecdotal that it hurts my head. Why must such strict rules exist? Using them in such a strict way is only bound to have negative effects on people such as myself. Has anyone had any similar experiences?
