In a biological sense, it could be considered an illness or disorder in that something went wrong in development, but that doesn't mean that it needs to be stigmatized. The effected people usually are able to function just fine, though their feeling wrong in their body will probably still lead many them to therapy to figure themselves out. But that does not necessitate a diagnosis of some disorder.

So, on the one hand, they are different to how things are supposed to work biologically, but it doesn't really change their ability to be productive members of society. We do not need every member to reproduce, etc. to help society to continue past our generation.

Rereading this, I notice I've just gone in circles. No matter how much I try to edit this it's still blah.

your frustration comes not from your own poverty of expression but from the ideologically informed reluctance of others to acknowledge a simple point. your first sentence is very lucid and says it all, but one feels the need for a more thorough explanation since one perceives the immense resistence to the simple point in question and concludes there's a cultural virus around. this is why Ti-Fe churns its argument and becomes more and more right yet never managing to convince anyone - and then when people finally catch up, there's no acknowledgement for having thought it all along. there's just time wasted. or so it seems. all we can do is have faith that we helped bring the change along behind the scenes.

I hope not.

I produce food for the population. And I know that food supply directly correspond with the production rate of humans. The more food I produce the more humans get produced.

This is a moral dilemma that I put a lot of thinking into. Every time I see a crowd, I'm thinking. My God, what have I done?
