Hey, I just got into this MBTI stuff yesterday (as such not very fluent…) and am thoroughly intrigued. I'm curious about something that may or may not be related to a person's MBTI. So, when I'm thinking about or witnessing an idea manifest that evokes a sense of truth or beauty*, I get this awesome sensation where it's like my brain is surging with energy*, generating a sense of vitality and serenity. I'm wondering if this is an experience that is augmented or severed due to a particular trait or group of traits. In this wondering I have thought about the possibility of it being unique, while having an unfruitful desire to share it because it is definitely one of my favorite things to experience. Also, if it is unique, I’m curious about the awesome experiences I am missing out on from the opposite spectrum, or how to induce such an experience. I imagine if there was it may be something in the territory of an MDMA high. I can hypothetically see how introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving tendencies can contribute to said experience but I can also see the possible opposites creating a similar effect. Basically, I just don't have enough data! Hook me up!

*(quick notes in hurry) [/intricate relations between multiple things][/beautifully constructed work of intricate relations]/combination of both truth and beauty. Usually comes when I’m creating novel ideas (at least to me), or I’m soaking up something-perhaps watching/reading something. Like appreciating the seemingly perfect architecture of a structure – not really something I’m into, although I think I would if I delved into architecture research… Maybe I’m being a bit too verbose I just want whoever reads this to understand. By now there’s too many abstractions in my mind to fully connect to the experience even though I have them quite frequently. FFS!

*The physical sensation is like a tingling electric feeling erupting in a water-ripple-like way stemming from my head, although more eratic like someone threw a handful of rocks into a koi pond, then throughout my body (most intensely in head area), perceived to be originating from my brain, obviously this could be mistaken. Less stimulating abstractions may not envelop my whole body and instead be limited to a spot on my scalp (one area of brain?) or my leg or some other random spot (caused by their adjacent relationships?), usually if that's the case then it is one spot one my scalp and one random spot.

Maybe I’ll revise later

edit: small edit to second asterisk stuff in small print

Is it possible for me or a moderator to add an option to the poll? If I can't do it, it would be "Similar but different. (please describe)"

edit: if you take the poll you can please post your type?

Far away from All This
Hello,

I am an INTP. When I figure out the solution to a puzzle or a problem, I get this feeling like pieces are all clicking together, accompanied with (probably) dopamine. I tend to get really excited and energetic (not like me at all) for a short time, then relax again. "Awesome" is probably not the word I'd choose, but I suppose it fits.

Yeah I think dopamine plays a part as well. I was using awesome in the slang sense and I can see my mistake in that based on the language I was using. I looked up the word awesome and my thoughts of its non slang meaning were incorrect. In place of awesome this definition of admiration: "the act of looking on or contemplating with pleasure" fits nicely. The overwhelming aspect of the word awesome is certainly not what I intended to portray.

I think I'm an INTP (for right now). I also get that sensation when I come to new realization after reading something or have an impractical idea that may have a practical application or application to another idea that I'm interested in at the time.

I have it. INTP. I think it is Ti.

Also, I can get energized while brainstorming and problem-solving using a lot of Ne, but I think that is a different, lesser experience. Although it is lesser, it occurs more frequently.

Nope. I do get a sense of satisfaction from comprehension, but nothing so intense as you describe. I have pretty dull affect in general though, so it probably doesn't mean much.

I don't know about the rest of the stuff written in the OP but as for how to induce an experience, I suppose Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is the way to go.
