"A personalisation engine that accurately predicts psychological traits from digital footprints of human behaviour"

http://applymagicsauce.com/

There's also ( https://personality-insights-livedemo.mybluemix.net/ ).

For the text entry version, the IBM Watson tool (last link) is better, though you need to feed it tens of thousands of words (or more) you've written in order for results to stabilize.

You'd get better results doing it yourself than using a tool.

I'm finding it works really well, typing by text.

With text apple sauce says INFJ. The other one doesn't say type but it says the same big 5 as the apple one.

I plugged my facebook in to it, mostly because my facebook activity is like 80% me just subtly trying to make all my friends and family think I'm retarded.

Much to my chagrin, this system seems to use "likes" more than anything, which is a shame since my likes are still stuffed with all those bullshit pages that I and others my age spent our time "liking" back in middle school.

They think I'm an early 20s male (duh). All the Big 5 stuff is about what one would expect (except I scored way more on the "relaxed" side of the neuroticism scale) and it thinks I'm INTP (*angry buzzer noise*). It said I'm smarter than about 92% of people, so that's a nice little self-esteem boost, although I dunno how it's scoring that . Slightly less likely than average to be gay (whew! I was worried there, for a second :p). And finally it thinks I'm single (accurate), non-religious (more accurate than the other options), and politically conservative (I dunno, maybe, maybe not. Definitely an interesting conclusion).

That said, a lot of the likes they pulled from are bullshit pages like "Laughing At That Part In The Movie That No One Else Thinks Is Funny" and whatnot, so I'm going to use the information that I still "like" pages like that to do a bit of culling and then I'll report back with updated and possibly more accurate results.

(Edit: also, I question some of the methods their page likes thing uses. How does The White Stripes make me appear more feminine and how does me "liking" the page "sour gummy worms" make me seem older? Spurious.)

It got INTP right for me, at least. Also, only 2% of men with my interests are gay. Unfortunately, only 23% of the population turns out to be less satisfied with life than me, and I am recommended to go talking to a counsellor on it.

It's Jung types keep in mind. Different types sometimes mean different things compared to MBTI. (unless they don't know that and are using MBTI types and calling them Jung.

I'm actually an INTJ trying to convince everyone that I'm not an INTJ.

I mean, it's not like I know a lot of INTJs or anything.

It works best when you have a diary that you expect no one to read. I consistently get INTP for my diary/blog which I expect no one to come across and judge me. Especially the second link. Not MBTI but very accurate. If you use what you type in forums it'll be less accurate because you expect to be judged unconsciously or not. We all hold a persona on these forums and try hard to upkeep it.

So for best results, use an old diary post or somewhere you poured out expecting no judgement. The more words the better.

Scratch all of that.

I even doubt if personality exists.

So thats all futile and it's probably made to suit a vague narrative or distorted by poor self assessment.

Lol.

So apparently I'm 26.
Donnie Darko, Nirvana and Slipknot all make me 'young'
Dirty Dancing, Staind and Aston Kutcher all make me 'older'.

Feminine 29%
Dirty Dancing, Aston Kutcher and Eminem all make me 'feminine'
Whilst Salt, Scrubs and Politics make me 'masculine'.

Big 5
Openness: 36% Conservative & Traditional
Conscientiousness: 29% Impulsive and spontaneous
Extroversion: 10% Contemplative
Agreeableness: 10% Competitive
Nueroticism 70% Easily stressed and emotional.

Dirty Dancing, Eminem and Sleeping made me appear more conservative.
Nirvana, Pink and Slipknot all made me appear more Impulsive
Big Bang, Evanescence and Nirvana all made me appear contemplative
Eminem, Slipknot and Politics made me appear competitive
Slipknot, Evanescence and Korn all made me appear emotional (ha)
and I can't be bothered to copy the rest.

Seems like they used a really small sample of my likes.. Unless I deleted the majority like I intended to do, once upon a time.

Average intelligence.. extremely dissatisfied with life..

ISTP

Your Likes score around average on probability of being lesbian.
About 7% of the general population are lesbian.

Like which make me appear less lesbian: Big Bang, Slipknot, How I met your Mother

Like's which make me appear more lesbian: Pink, Korn, American Dad

Your Likes suggest that you have Liberal political views

Your Likes suggest that you do not hold any of the religious views for which specific predictions are made.

People with your Likes have a strong interest in IT, psychology, or engineering.

Your Likes suggest that you’re probably not in a relationship.

Holy crap. It guessed I'm an INTJ and told me I'd make a good leader.

Salute victory.

ISTJ on one of my facebook accounts. The important one doesn't have enough likes though. Liked a few things and got ISTJ on both.

Both completely androgynous.

I've just been running it on my blog entries here.

Four entries, and so far, four different responses: ENTJ, ISFP, INFP, and INTP.

I think part of it is keying off topical matter, which is kind of lame tbh... but I'm not sure how a piece of software would properly look at context anyway. For example, the post that talked about workplace organization got the ENTJ read. The ones that mentioned love or spoofed romance got an F read. And so on.

I don't have a Facebook page.

Looking at their approach looks like it uses the BIG5 - which is a nearly meaningless personality assessment in my opinion. It does MBTI too? No mention of that I can see.

They probably use a classifier convolutional DNN or variation. Theoretically I think it's too early for such efforts as humans are so bad at picking a type from writings. We haven't yet developed good metrics for matting behavior to type. Having said that EP types shine out on Facebook (ESFP/ENFP in particular).

On text I got ENTP, INFP, INTP, INTJ.

So the test measured

Introversion 3 times out of 4
iNtuition 3/4
Thinking 3/4
Perceiving 3/4

For several long status updates (little essays just like my posts on here): INTP or ENTP
Only one text produced INFP. It was about spirituality.

Consistently Very Liberal and Artistic and a bit competitive.
All other big 5 traits vary a lot...

I will probably not be confused with a leader anytime soon.

If you want to run it on text, then use the IBM Watson tool, and supply tens of thousands of your words for it to work with. I essentially pasted in everything I had ever written (which, in high school, amounted to between 20 and 30 thousand words (ie, not a lot)).
