First of all, hi everyone. I've been checking this forum for a while and already made a few responses. I'm a European male in my early twenties and hoping to start a Phd in physics next year (quantum thermodynamics), one of the most stereotypical INTP occupations I suspect
.
How did I arrive here? Well, I have always felt some kind of disconnection to most people in how they think, what they care about... I've never been too despised, but not been superpopular either. Partly because of the pseudonarcistic need I feel to have an impact on mankind an partly due to the ongoing lack of succes with the XX-chromosome carriers (aka bitches) among us, I decided my people skills needed an upgrade. So I dowloaded some books about this stuff on Library Genesis (such as Dale Carnegie-How to win friends and influence people and David Buss-the evolution of desire).
Also, some question in my Quora feed about INTPness once brought me to 16personalities.com, where I did the MBTI test and scored INTP as well. The description seemed to be the best description of myself I'd read so far. Previously I noticed some similarities between me and giftedness or maybe asperger's, but there have always been some aspects of me that didn't quite fit in those pictures. INTP is far more spot on, and I have also confirmation from a number of other MBTI tests. My N is by far the most pronounced of the four letters, followed by the T. Expecially this site did a great job in comparing the motivations of INTP's and other NT's to those of others. I found some nice advise on http://www.intpexperience.com/ as well.
Anyway, I think it would be very nice to join this community. I probably know a number of other intp's in real life, but this forum must still be some kind of enrichment I suppose.
