At first I thought this was allegorical, but then I found out that the author went on to shoot Andy Warhol. (woops)

I loved it either way; it's a radical feminist manifesto arguing that men are incomplete females that should be eliminated, though I read it as a sort of reversal of misogynistic psychoanalysis. Funny on one level, thought provoking on another.

I think I just about make the male auxiliary (those allowed to live). Then again, Andy Warhol.

I mostly linked it because I found it funny (not to pigeon-hole feminists) as I've never gotten on with traditional views of masculinity, but apparently it was actually quite influential.

A severe case of penis envy if I've ever seen one... but honestly, I hate how she assumes that every man is straight except for less than a sentence at the end (and she refers to them as "faggots")

If it really were written like the "Modest Proposal" (not serious, a satire), then this would be an interesting inversion of the kinds of things that really were said--by "scientists" and the public alike--about women.

It does make one realize the amount of shit that got said, and how nobody would put up with it going the other way, not even other women (quite rightly).
