We're too self-absorbed to concentrate our effort on screwing other people over. That would require thinking about other people.

I don't think you guys are self-absorbed, more like naive about just how badly the rest of the planet abuses your charity. There is a distinct lack of pragmatism, no appreciation for the civilization you created. Self-hate. You don't see how good you have it imo.

For all the admiration Eastern Europe has for the US... these are things it seems we have recognized in 2015 and don't wish to imitate. The myth has been sort of broken, ^^; there is no way anyone here will whip him/herself in guilt like that. e_e the germans are the worst tho as if ww2 wasn't enough, now they want everyone to share their sense of guilt & charity. Fuck that.

Americans actually use the eastern European mentality as examples to not become more socialist. In conversations I've had with other people, the strongest supporters of our capitalist aspects were people originally from Hungary, Romania, Greece and Croatia. (There are actually quite a few Romanian communities where I currently live, now that I think about it....)
They all liked the attitudes and opportunities presented here than in their home countries.

Most ppl here hate socialism tbh, probably more than anyone in the west (obviously because of communism) and up till 2015 we have seen the west in general, but specifically the US as something to aspire to, the US specifically has been a kind of north star for Eastern Europe ever since the fall.

^^; when I see students from the US talk favorably of socialism and even communism it is like "Wtf is wrong with these ppl!? Don't they know!?".

lol, I don't know my neighbors XD There's rarely any interest, because people are busy and self-consumed. In actual neighborhoods, yes, you can trust them more, but it depends on the wealth of the community. Low-income communities are way more shady, so people stuck in them surround themselves by family, and/or are part of a gang for "protection." I knew someone from Oakland who had to make sure his mattress was under the window, because every-so-often, bullets would go through his window at night from gang fights. There have been a few robberies where I am right now, and a few more instances of rape/sexual assault.

Well yeah... I have seen this part of LA... live through my brother's phone. My brother rented some cheap place in a very bad neighborhood in LA. Looked like it was Mexican drug cartel territory. I have seen gypsy ghettos, but here I was afraid someone will shoot him in a driveby or something. It was truly a shithole. Massachusetts & Vermont were dope tho... California kinda sucked tbh.

That isn't what I'm talking about tho. Over here it is because of communism. Ppl back then were spied on constantly and sold each other out to the communists. Your phone could be wire-tapped, your neighbor might sell you out... your own kids may be brainwashed and made to divulge stuff that is going on at home, stuff the government would send you to be "re-educated" for. You talked to the wrong ppl, said the wrong thing, held opinions that were "wrong" and somehow somewhere someone would sell you out. After the fall the same ppl in power sold the country off to western corporations & they became this parasitic criminal political class creating something akin to Brazilian corruption. All of this makes the overall general social outlook here paranoid, pessimistic & cynical. If you want to get ahead, you have to be corrupt as well. Millenials and genZ here hate all of this garbage. With democracy, we thought we can fix shit. e_e we were fucking wrong... it doesn't matter who we elect, they are all scum.

Its not all that bad tho, I mean we do have the best internet in the world, breaking a leg won't ever put me into debt. Countries here are sometimes smaller than a US state. To snap you out of thinking that Central-Eastern Europe is this socialist backwater of a place, here:

Do you have any examples?

I was saying that I think we are self absorbed, not that it sounded like you said that. But thank you anyway!
Hm, how giving we are depends on who is in office. A lot of our “giving” is to try to monopolize physical resources. This is why America got involved with the Middle East—for oil.

A lot of Americans are very pro-isolationism. They don’t want to help foreign countries, but most Americans also aren’t very well aware of what’s politically/socially going on in the rest of the world (because we’re so far away). I don’t know much at all about politics abroad. Issues on whether to help someone else or not then because more emotionally-based among the public. America is also always threatened by more extreme socialist models, and I think anyone being “bullied by communism” and/or “Russians,” American government is more likely to butt in.

There is a distinct lack of pragmatism, no appreciation for the civilization you created. Self-hate. You don't see how good you have it imo.

This is because we don’t have a cohesive identity throughout America as “Americans.” There are too many of us who define ourselves different from one another, so social decorum is extremely important and it is easy to be offensive. We know little about how other countries work, on a general scale. I know I don't know a whole lot. We focus more on finding problems with our-self, primarily that we all identify with someone else when thinking of fellow "countrymen."

there is no way anyone here will whip him/herself in guilt like that.

no need to, your country is not responsible for a large percentage of the climate crisis. People get way too defensive when they feel guilty, and everyone ends up disliking one another.

when I see students from the US talk favorably of socialism and even communism it is like "Wtf is wrong with these ppl!? Don't they know!?

They're thinking of Canada. Canada is like the "promised land" for some Americans. It's kind of funny how much we idealize Canada.

My brother rented some cheap place in a very bad neighborhood in LA. Looked like it was Mexican drug cartel territory. I have seen gypsy ghettos, but here I was afraid someone will shoot him in a driveby or something. It was truly a shithole.

I used to not know how other countries aren't as economically segregated as we are. LA is super expensive. It was probably not a smart move to go right for the city, as no one in their right mind voluntarily rents a place in a ghetto. If you do, it has to be in a place where you know the people around you well enough to know if it's safe. What neighborhood? If it's a cheap place, not really a cartel, just gangs who deal/distribute/money launder.

Massachusetts & Vermont were dope tho... California kinda sucked tbh.

Yo, them fightin' words. Califonria's coast line is the size of about 4 central European countries stacked on top of one another. It has massive redwood forests, long mountain ranges, and desserts all in one state. ONE!
There are some really shitty neighborhoods, but there are gorgeous ones too. For a time, I lived in northern California, in a redwood forest, where I could walk TO THE BEACH, with my dog, and the the way I would pass grazing elk. That is probably the most beautiful place I'll ever live. The type of architecture will be very different than the east coast, and is probably unusual to you. Things are very far away, and out buildings are often wood, due to frequent earthquakes.
Not in California now, but I grew up there, and I WILL virtually fight you!

Oh geez. I've...sort of heard about these things, but not about it happening in Romania or recently. I'm sorry, I see your point.

Countries here are sometimes smaller than a US state. To snap you out of thinking that Central-Eastern Europe is this socialist backwater of a place, here:

I don't have a backwater perspective of Eastern Europe; I mainly try to be careful about what I assume, and I apologize if it appeared I thought little of you guys. The biggest stereyotype Americans will have about Romania is that you guys are vampires. Some people don't know that Transylvania is an actual place.

Transylvania really is beautiful!

I just had my first night out, from 9-2am at a bar completely sober, it wasn't bad after the first hour. Think I could get used to this, phew. Alcohol has served it's function, seems like a goodbye.

That guy needs that server rack for his 3 uploads to pirate bay, keeping the communti alive!

I wonder how can he stand being there with all that noise & probably heat.

he he heeee... I built mine into a Dark Base 900 case (leftover from the old rig)... so its quiet. e_e I hate loud server racks. 12tb storage.. ZFS, virtually silent (with secure remote acess through vpn). Heat output is minimal. Got a nice APC Pro ups hooked onto it, as soon as power is lost the server triggers shutdown. Stores all my material, allows me to build the main rig into a small quiet case. The laptop x230 is there mainly for field maintenance work. Refurbished ThinkPads are cheap af & the keyboard is glorious compared to other laptops. (frequently used on patch Tuesday)

MikroTik has some noice options for 10 Gb ethernet, behold: https://mikrotik.com/product/crs305_1g_4s_in least expensive lan ever.

@Kormak

I actually understand where men are coming from with the whole “male group” thing.

See..I always understood the woman perspective. Men are more fun and laid back. Men act genuinely around each other, but deceptively around women, so if you really want to know a guy, know who he is around other guys. There’s no sense of any kind of power struggles when you’re in a group of men. Not for you, anyways, as you’re a woman. There’s no drama. Hanging out with men is just fun and relaxing.

But not too long ago I watched a video on LindyBeige’s channel, and I finally understood why men don’t like hanging out with women. Women often act ditsy and obnoxious or attention-seeking around men. They have a tendency to act insecure, or not want to try new things, or make stuff just generally complicated. Speaking from experience, we’re rarely true to ourselves in a group of men. And we’re always calculating social nuances. Lloyd described it as being “exhausting”. Mind you, Lloyd is a charming guy, and an excellent dancer. But he’s refreshingly honest, too.

I like that I understand better now, because I, like many other women, just assumed that it was because men don’t like women and don’t want to be friends with them. I know Lloyd does, though. Its like what he said - sometimes you want to be around your female friends, and sometimes you want it to be “just the guys”.

That’s why, at a place like Defcon, I pretty much try to be unobtrusive and stick to the edges of the crowd. A lot of those guys get anxious around women, and it can spoil it for them to have a female there.

Gotta say. Nobody would have been touching that girl’s butt if she’d had her back to the wall! XD

Yes, along with proof of your doctorate degree from a esteemed institution, 13 years of comparable job experience, various references, and a laminated, notarized copy of your 3rd grade report card. I miss the good ol' days when simply being able to stand for several hours while being able to not spontaneously evacuate your bowels deemed you highly overqualified for the position.

Hm, how giving we are depends on who is in office. A lot of our “giving” is to try to monopolize physical resources. This is why America got involved with the Middle East—for oil.

I would reconsider the actual reason you guys are there. It is not only for the oil. In part it is the oil sold in dollars, in part selling weapons to the saudis, in part it is the defense of Israel as it expands, in part it is to stop Russia from gaining ground and to destabilize/weaken the nations surrounding Israel. Proxy wars. The USA is extremely charitable towards Israel for example. You send ppl to die there on top of all the aide. I have to ask, what does Israel do for the US in return? :P this ain't charity IDK what is.

A lot of Americans are very pro-isolationism. They don’t want to help foreign countries, but most Americans also aren’t very well aware of what’s politically/socially going on in the rest of the world (because we’re so far away). China is bailing out one bank after the other, their economy is falling tbh. It isn't a threat. Russia is a threat mostly to Eastern Europe only, certainly not to the US and they aren't communist anymore.. The only real communist threat you guys face is from within. I would go into just how detrimental American-style capitalism is for the US, but thats a long rant.

Thats a problem. Internal division and constant conflict make society weak. It creates the type of society we have in eastern Europe, a low trust one. It makes it very hard to implement basic stuff like universal healthcare.

no need to, your country is not responsible for a large percentage of the climate crisis. People get way too defensive when they feel guilty, and everyone ends up disliking one another.

Hmm, yeah, we also had no colonies, no slaves, were under either Hapsburg imperial rule, USSR or Ottoman occupation, for the most part, we were used as slaves. I may be "white" as you guys call it, but when a lefty accuses me of stuff ^^; I feel 0 guilt. Its more like "Wtf are you on about!?".

They're thinking of Canada. Canada is like the "promised land" for some Americans. It's kind of funny how much we idealize Canada.

Never been there. Why tho?

I used to not know how other countries aren't as economically segregated as we are. LA is super expensive. If it's a cheap place, not really a cartel, just gangs who deal/distribute/money launder.

It was a Hispanic neighborhood in LA, graffiti everywhere. I'll ask him for specifics. It was cheap and we rarely visit the US, usually the destination is just Boston. e_e he wasn't aware LA had places like that.

Yo, them fightin' words. Califonria's coast line is the size of about 4 central European countries stacked on top of one another. It has massive redwood forests, long mountain ranges, and desserts all in one state. ONE!

Ahaa! So you do love the place :D heheee. The visit was constrained to LA and San Francisco, he didn't get to see much else.

Oh geez. I've...sort of heard about these things, but not about it happening in Romania or recently. I'm sorry, I see your point.

No need to be sorry. Its history now. I don't recommend communism tbh.

:P I think most shy nerds at DEFCON are just happy to see a woman interested in the same stuff as they are. The thoughts are more along the lines of "OMG a cute girl.. here!? Stay cool stay cool! Act natural. Wow, she is interested in this stuff? Awesome!"

Can't expect to control everyone there tho :/ and there are bad apples for sure. It is still the fault of that specific guy and not DEFCON, the way she handled it makes me suspicious af.

it's a disruption in the normal cycle of REM sleep. our bodies paralyze so that we don't move about wildly while dreaming, I suppose.

it makes sense that the experiences would be roughly as similar as the mechanisms in our bodies are.

a perceived state of waking accompanied by dreamlike hallucinations and an inability to move or speak is roughly where the similarities end.

Sleep deprivation is when mine happens as well. I was up building some servers for almost 48 hours the last time and when I finally hit the sack .... invasion of the body snatchers.

My brain that doesnt attach dates to memories:
It is comforting to know there are more of us. I never think about the past, unless I am asked to. It is not like I consciously avoid it, or think it is a bad idea, it just isn't part of how I daydream or solve problems. I've noticed people daydream in very different ways. It would be interesting to explore that, similarly to how @Inexorable Username asked what you see when you listen to music. I should probably write a reply there, when inspiration, time and energy align.

Is that what inspired you to change profile picture, or did your new picture inspire your dream? Either way, it is making me nostalgic. I have not seen an emo in a long time. Is it you?

it is neat that we all function a bit differently. I wonder how common it is to not remember the dates of your memories, seems rare to me.
I would say the dream was from thinking about sclera tattoos before bed.
My profile pic is the only person I could find with eye tattoos with the exact same color eyes as me, and not having face tats (yes she has one but its mostly hidden) and tons of piercings. With dark eyes it makes the slight color seem lighter. I think black sclera tattoos are apex beauty. :o

that made my day

I'll write this as a little note I can go back to in about a month and compare the outcome to the current sense of suspense

nowadays a lot of things are at stake. Large sums of money, reputations, and trust in machines as a means to predict the future. In particular machines that I have designed (not really "machines" but rather mathematical models and machine-learning algorithms). Huge bets have been placed based on the predictions from these models. Problem for me is that the people at the company don't really know what these things really are, so people are divided between two groups: 1) old-schoolers who are generally quite skeptical to them , 2) people who trust the models blindly and don't really understand the concept of randomness, probability etc. Another problem is that I don't think the models are particularly good myself – they were made under deadlines and weren't really properly tested before we started using them to take actual risk. What's more is that currently, the model makes predictions which are the diametrical opposite of the beliefs of everyone else in the company.

by the end of December we will know who was right – half-baked ML models or humans.

Pact is made, I'm gonna stop working this dumbass job by august at the latest, the intent is ASAP however.

Periods for change:

-Student loan in january, £600 for myself after rent, this can set me up for a month or even two at my rate of expenses, money spending has halted incredibly thank god.
-Absolutely nerd out this year, don't talk to anybody and parties are for suckers. It's been like this the whole week with the exception of work, I can see it getting very addicting.

-Another job, maybe retail or a bar. I've always wanted the bar experience and there's one beside my accommodation, a girl and a guy I know work there (part of a friend's friend group but I could boogey with them to get me in, 1-2 nights a week to train then either experience for another bar or a place there.) it's also right beside my lecture building, perfectly placed and it's open from 11am! Become the guy at the other side of the bar, I'll be talking to pretty females and dreamers without having to intoxicate myself with them!

-Keep going to these AI camps, I went to a 3 night-time talk about Quantum computing and machine learning it was pretty interesting, only layman for the first 45 minutes. I've talked to the head of AI division at a local company called kainos, could step up the conversation with him as time goes on he could gradually let me in projects as they're more services oriented than R & D, no super secrets to keep really.

To be continued...

I had a thought earlier in relation to me going to a bar without drinking, it involved pretending, which then followed to being experiential separate form acting. I thought it might be handy to pick an acting class, the reason why I drunk was to sedate myself to adapt to the environment. Isn't that a lazy way of thinking? I mean, I've been given this hyper-awareness and I threw it in the bin. Maybe the correct way is to use my hyper awareness, along with an ability to control my expressions through acting, I can fit in perfectly, if not better without the negative effects of feeling anxious and drinking.

Completely internalize myself and build a complex facade on the outside, if I master a skill like that I think it would be fantastic. Any thoughts? this was half-baked because I'm tired and should sleep, might have left out details. Won't re-read it until someone quotes it tomorrow, adios amigos.

Taking acting classes will probably pay itself of many times throughout your life. Im not sure about pretending to be drunk to fit in, have you considered changing friend groups or maybe just not drinking so much? It would be quite mentally taxing to act every time you socialize, you may end up associating people with exhaustion, or you may become adept enough that it no longer takes effort. Seems exhausting and too fake for me. Im a social retard so my input is probably worthless anyways... I have always been jealous of people who can take acting/drama classes, it makes my skin crawl to "act" in front of people.

Genuinely everyone drinks over there, and those that don't are simply not social. Very few people I know would socialise and not drink, those few would be christians, nerds (I can barely play games for more than an hour now, unless it's got an interesting story) so no repetitive competitive games anymore and book people. I can't sit with friends watching TV, I just feel compelled to talk and comment on the interactions instead of just watching which wanes on the friends. If I wanted to watch a movie I'd prefer to watch it by myself anyways, it was the same when I played video games.

I'm thinking if I stop drinking and increase my mental energy and capabilities I could genuinely balance the thoughts in my head for entertainment while exhibiting different behaviour on the outset. I guess you could call it superficiality, but if I'm happy entertaining myself in my own head then what else do I need, really? I'm finding difficulty expressing what I mean here and I'm currently balancing studying and absorbing this view, my explanation is a bit abstract:

I think this is one of the large problems that comes with a specialized world...no one making the decisions really understands the factors of their decisions. Even worse: they think they understand. People get caught up in acting like they know what's going on, they eventually believe they know what's going on. Method acting in it's finest.

People who make the deadlines should be the people who understand what you're doing, but that's way too rational for corporate. Good luck to you.

I'm not sure to which degree you are anonymous here, and so whether you can answer this honestly, but:

Do you believe humans are capable of predicting the future well enough to profit in the stock market, or will long term profit always follow index?

Some years ago the TV show folkeopplysningen made the claim that we had exactly as many speculants in the world beating index as chance would predict. This assertion seemed to be backed by economical theorists from respectable universities.

Good luck with your models! Perhaps you'll find looking into super forecasters useful, or at least interesting. Looking forward to hear the results, and it would be interesting to hear more about how the model works, if you are at liberty to discuss that. Like what does it do (geospatial stuff)? What variables are you are feeding it?

that's a very simple question to answer lol; no, one cannot beat the market (with a few exceptions as listed below). I used to work in equity markets (mostly model-based trading), and I can tell you that it is impossible to beat the market unless you're one of these:
  1. a high-frequency trader with computers set up no more than 5 meters away from the exchange, exploiting various microstructure inefficiencies
  2. someone with some significant information advantage in some niche where it is extremely hard to obtain information
  3. perhaps some rare case where you can trade with relatively high latency (~150 milliseconds (yeah, that's considered slow)) but have the ability to constantly find new complicated statistical patterns which temporary emerge (but likely disappear within a few months as the rest of the market catches up to them).
  4. marketmaking or doing arbitrage between equities and products like ETFs (companies like Optiver specialize in this).
But.. as a private individual speculating in the market one has exactly zero chance of beating the market. I myself have a small stock portfolio, but I don't make any attempts at beating the market, I just hold a low-risk diversified portfolio.

it's predicting some stuff (not stock prices, but some other stuff), using, among other things, geospatial data, yes. :phear:

what is super forecasters?

Alright, low risk index funds it is, then. Thanks for the info
what is super forecasters?
Statistics show that "experts" in complex fields barely do better than chance at prediction, if better at all. Some years back a group of researchers decided to find out whether anyone could predict the future, and if so, how they did it. They called the project "the good judgement project". Certain individuals consistently made significantly better predictions than intelligence officers who had access to classified intel. The researchers called these individuals "super forecaster" (wow, that reads like an 80ies movie trailer).

I think the project is still ongoing, and you can sign up to make predictions here:
https://www.gjopen.com/

The whole thing sounds silly, but the researchers have received awards from Harvard, and the research has been featured in articles in The Economist and New York Times, for what that is worth.

Alright guys, I've made a decision: I'm going to intend to stay sober for a long, long time. The minimum length is new years.I drunk two weeks ago but it was little, I binged drunk a lot a month before that. I feel like an alcoholic protesting this but that's the decision. Booyah:

I keep wondering whether it’s easier to hear a neighbor who lives on the floor above you than below. I am on the top floor and never hear a single thing from below, but I do this thing where I like to amuse myself by practicing different accents, like I can suddenly yell out “yo who da fuck!” in a classic OG American accent, or stuff like “I am from Mehhico, maan” in a thick Mexican accent. The whole thing becomes even more amusing when I consider the possibility that the neighbor can hear all this shit lmao

You are probably the first to notice, which is crazy.

There seems to be a pattern on this dating app im using: every conservative christian girl is oveweight, and I dont mean a little. Why are there so many "christian girls" looking for casual sex? do these people even read their bibles? heathens Im also learning about my type, apparently a wide face, huge forehead and bangs is my type. And huge eyes :D

pro tip: if you dont want to fuck a guy, just look at the shoulder to hip ratio, you cant cover that up.
im so anti pc it feels good.

What is the correct way to respond when someone dismisses a blatantly destructive habit with," god will decide when my time is". I tried looking concerned and staring at the floor but they got offended

Normal reaction to someone with eyes 4 inches apart: waoh
Me: they must be very social!

All of these fucking people raking their yards, do you realize you are slowly killing your yard and a part of the neighborhood.
#STOPRAKECULTURE

Does anyone else sometimes forget to breath when thinking super hard on something? NO? ok I will go fuck myself. The girl I cuddled with pointed it out, I would randomly stop breathing for like 30seconds then take an abnormally deep breath. she thought I was sighing, which actually got me in trouble in middle school, I am just breathing people fuck off.

Ugh! I do this ALL the time. It’s such a bad habit. I have to remind myself to breathe.

Are you a lesbian? If so, I need to ask you questions if you’re not adverse to it, because I have...o_o so many questions.
I think that sounds creepy, but I mean - in general. I am always looking for people to collect for questioning. I’m sorry. Hopefully that doesn’t make you feel alienated.

What kind of rakes are you talking about? The toothy metal ones? I think those aren’t too good for your grass, but I don’t think they’re that bad unless you’re a really aggressive rakist. (Autocorrect on my phone wanted to make this sentence awkward for us, but it failed to get one over on me.)

I think the lawn mowers are worst. If you neurotically shave your grass, it never has a chance to go to seed, so it can’t proliferate easily. Why plant grass if all you want to do is continuously demonstrate how contemptuous you are of it? Why plant something if you don’t want it to grow?

It’s nonsense like this that makes me get annoyed with humans. I like them better from afar. For instance - you people are far away from me, so I like you. I’ve yet to see you get neurotic about grass, so I still hold you in high regard.

Just kidding - I don’t have contempt for those that mow their lawn. Not...in the long run. If that makes sense. Only sometimes in the short run. (I have a mowing threshold)

On account of me being a man I cannot say I am a lesbian.
Removing leaves from your yard doesnt allow for the nutrients to be reabsorbed, thats why its bad.
Im curious what would you have asked if I were a girl?

Edit: its 2019 its probably offensive to say im a man. My chromosomes are xy and im sorry I exist. Thats pc right?

Oh well. You’re still a cool person even though you don’t have valuable insights into the world view of the lesbian female! I will find one...one of these days.

I’m not sure why I thought you were female. Initially I thought you were male, but at some point, I corrected myself. It might have been your image with the makeup and the colorful hair.

Don’t let yourself get brainwashed by the loud feminist minority. It will sabotage your mind and outlook. I’ve seen far too many men these days who have fallen into a bitter, resentful pit of self-loathing, shame, and sexism, because they became susceptible to the emotionally charged politically divided dogma of our culture. They’re a pretty pathetic lot. Not a brain cell left among them.
You can’t allow yourself to degrade as such because we are using you as one of the key people to add intellect, perspective, and stimulating conversation to this forum. And we’re not done with you yet!

I’m with you though. The censorship is really trying my patience, and despite my insane ability to empathize and come up with excuses for others’ behavirors, I’m finding it reeeaaalllyy hard to drudge up any kind of sympathy for the rabid feminists. I mean. I get it. I can identify with a number of the feelings and the sentiment behind things that upset these feminists. I think most women that say they can’t, are frankly just lying so they look better by comparison.

That being said - the behavior...a lot of it is just frankly so unacceptable, so illogical...words fail me. And words never, never fail me.

Hmm...wine sounds good now. Ahh, to be drunk. One of life’s many wonderful indulgences.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a male or not marbles. You’re a cat. I can see from your picture. Maybe you got so drunk you forgot.

Anyways - I don’t think anyone cares if cats are male. I actually sleep with one every night. It’s true. He cuddles, listens to my feelings, and doesn’t even mind that he’s in the friend zone. It’s like having a boyfriend, but better, and minus the messy bits....(although I gotta say. He takes really, really nasty poops...and no ex-boy of mine ever made me scoop up his poops with a shovel.)

I think PS and I are just being ironic. These hipster men appologizing for their gender are just hoarding social currency.

And, well... While feminists can be really annoying, I don't really find trouble sympatizing with them. 5000 years of oppression does the trick.

Oh man :/

I refuse to be pc, I cant identify with that level of fucking stupid. the world feels crazy and im coping by laughing at it. I will try to stay open to the idea that a few decent people still exist, atm they may just be ai set up to infiltrate the last of us.
sincerely, PS, day 982

What sense does it make to assume this cultural extremist will sustain itself? Look at how rapidly we change. Baby boomers were hippies. Gen X was MTV. Millennials were idealistic, PC, immature dreamers, and Gen Z looks seriously promising. On the whole, they don’t seem to tolerate that nonsense.

The best way to end a movement is to turn it into something nobody wants to be associated with. Feminists have done that. So has ANTIFA, and to a large degree, the liberals and socialists. Because they don’t have logic, their only option is to get increasingly aggressive and exclusive with their emotional standards. As this tendency increases, the number of reasonable people willing to stand with them decreases.

If you won’t let anyone be part of your pool party unless they agree 100% with your ideaology, and you become increasingly irrational, well - by the bell curve example, you will rapidly lose the largest percentage of the population and eventually dwindle into obscurity.
