So how does openness tie into spontaneity? High openness & low spontaneity = being open to new experiences/values but never doing/using them?

as i previously stated, could affect test via mood at the time of test. otherwise, conscious control of impulsivity or a myriad of other reasons e.g, as you stated "being open, but not necessarily acting upon," the psyche has fewer barriers going both ways (openness), but whether any of it (perceptions) will be actually acted upon is another measure (spontaneity).
