I actually think it's nice to have the duality of opinions on this topic.
Higs has a good point and so does Salmoneus. The thread really doesn't actually contain any real African names, which I figure is what really annoys Sal. It's like making a "repetitive Chinese names" thread and posting:
chingchongchangchung pingpongpangpung
The "names" in this thread aren't even "African" sounds and they're not even real names. It really is just the misguided interpretation of those who don't understand the language. Depending on where you live, this is often perpetuated in reality by people who really are racist, who make fun of the way certain races speak and sound - yet getting it completely wrong.
Finding humour and joy in the acoustics of what's being posted is fine, I think the thing that becomes an issue is that it's targeted at African names - yet there's hardly anything even remotely African about them. I don't think being ignorant of African linguistics constitutes racism on the part of Higs and Bronto, since neither of them are intending to discriminate or display prejudice towards Africans.
However while their intentions might be good-natured, this thread does become a breeding ground for potential racism and also does have the capacity to insult and belittle Africans even if it's meant as a joke and not the explicit intention.
That being said, here's a real African name:
Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo
