Hey everyone, I've noticed, that there seem to be quite a few INTPs who claim to have "relatively strong Fe", including myself. Now, I'd like you to rate how far your functions are developed on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being highest. The absolute value is unimportant, I'm more interested in how far the functions are developed in comparison to each other.

For example:
Ti 10
Ne 9
Si 8
Fe 7

would be the same as
Ti 4
Ne 3
Si 2
Fe 1

OK, here's my guess as to how far my functions are developed:

Ti 9
Ne 8
Fe 5
Si 2

As mentioned in other threads, as soon as I feel very comfortable, I practically transform into an ENTP, talking very much and using my Ne a lot more. Also, I'm pretty sure my Fe is stronger than my Si.

Hmm...I've taken this cognitive functions test before, and if I remember correctly, it came out something like this:

Ti - 9
Fi - 8
Ne - 8
Ni - 6
Se - 5
Si - 4
Te - 3
Fe - 3

Strangely enough, my Fi is one of my strongest scores...

Jaico- your Fi is a high score cuz you're selfish. ;)

I did take an official test, but I'm just going to guesstimate because it's more fun!

Ti - 11
Ne - 7
Si - 5
Ni - 4
Fe - 4
(the rest are negligible)

I've taken the Cognitive Functions test a few times, but I don't remember the exact results, so here goes.

Ti: 18
Ne:16
Fi:12
Te:10
Ni:8
Si:5
Se:3
Fe:3

goodness gracious, we would look quite similar, ermine. I think I'd nudge my Ni and Fi a point or two higher, and bump the Te a few points lower, but otherwise that's extraordinarily similar.

Also (since I just noticed): lol at "tags suck". Feel free to not use them... as I'm pretty sure nobody else does, haha

I did the test quickly...
Your self-assessment curve = -3.3
Ti - 19
Te - 16
Ni - 14
Si - 13
Ne - 13
Se - 10
Fi - 8
Fe - 3

Sincerely I think I did wrong and overestimated myself (putting xx rather x, etc). But I kinda of agree with the order, especially Si = Ne...

OK, I did the test and here's the result:

Ti 13
Ne 10
Te 7
Ni 6
Si 4
Se 4
Fe 3
Fi 2

Well, Fe and Si are very close. I think if the questions would have been slightly different I could have a higher Fe than Si. :/

I'd have to say something like this...

NE- 10
TI- 9
FI- 9
NI- 8
FE- 7
SI- 7
TE-5
SE-1

I am definitely not in tune with reality.

this is living?
Test indicates:
Ti 22
Ne 16
Te 14
Si 13
Fi 11
Se 8
Ne 6
Fe 5
But, I would rate Se lowest at like a 3, along with a lower Fe of 3.

This test is brilliant, I think this is the exact direction the MBTI should be developed in.

It said I might be an istp or an intp. After reading a bit about istp's, i'm having trouble seeing which category I fit into. There is definitely aspects of both in me, but I still think I am a bit more of an INTP. The reason I think I am ISTP is because of my sport (parkour) which causes me to use my Se, because we have to constantly evaluate our environment to see how to best approach an obstacle. Also, they say ISTP's are athletic, and that is definitely something I have always considered myself (along with intellectual).

Your Most-Used Processes
Based on your response, these are your top three cognitive processes in use:

Ne : Interpreting situations and relationships; picking up meanings and interconnections; being drawn to change 'what is' for 'what could possibly be'; noticing what is not said and threads of meaning emerging across multiple contexts.
Ti : Analyzing; categorizing; evaluating according to principles and whether something fits the framework or model; figuring out the principles on which something works; checking for inconsistencies; clarifying definitions to get more precision.
Ni : Foreseeing implications and likely effects without external data; realizing 'what will be'; conceptualizing new ways of seeing things; envisioning transformations; getting an image of profound meaning or far-reaching symbols.

Your Developmental Report
Your pattern of responses indicates a developmental level in each cognitive processes. Since this is experimental, this report may be in error.

Ti,Ne
You sustain and grow yourself and those around you long-term through this process. You are at your best, your peak creative and leadership moments when engaged in this process. This is a lead role; it is who you are and what you truly do.

Ni,Te,Fe
You create value, aid others and get things done everyday using this process. You function well here, know all the ins and outs, strengths and limits of this process. You have made this process your own, something personal and unique to you.

Si,Se,Fi
You value this process as a helpful aid, even if you do not engage it that often. You trust it contributes to life, particularly when done by others who do the process well. You might recruit others to help you do this process for you.

I think the type suggestions on this test are flawed - but I do like the test - particularly because of the way I noticed how I so clearly understood the Ti and Ne functions and knew that they are things I am good at - in sharp contrast to the others some of which I simply didn't understand. I'm presuming that other types look at the Ti and Ne and can't understand what they are about either.

It also kind of explains why I get those INFP feelings

Having said that I notice the majority of respondents here have Ti-Ne as their strongest functions. There was a thread about 'why these INTPs?' on this forum - and most of us don't really get on with INTP Central and lots of us wonder about our type so maybe we are atypical INTPs and possibly a sub-group? Or am I waffling now?

EDIT: yes, I am an idiot - INTP's main functions are of course Ti-Ne!!!!

it's 00.30 here in the UK - way past my bedtime. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I'd have thought my sensing functions would have been more developped thanks to my sketching and all the observation that's involved. I know it's made me more aware of my environment, though I suppose the fact that I tend to narrow in on details causes me to miss the greater picture.

Oh, and just randomly, parkour is awesome. I'd wanted to start it this summer but managed to psyche myself out.

Parkour is the one of only two passions that have stuck in me. I get interested in lots of things but my interests can change rapidly. Parkour and music are the only two things that I absolutely love. :)

Ti/Fi
Se
Ni
Si
Te
Fe

Yeah, something like that

I came across this little programme on typology central:
http://www.fogmagazineonline.com/MBTI.swf

Using my scores from here I inputted them and got a strong INTP result. That is a lot better than the original cognitive processes site which said I was ENTP and the other one which said I was ESFJ lol.

I completed the cognitive test but I'm not sure how much weight I would give to it since they categorized me as an ENTP.

Anyway

Ne 13
Ti 9
Ni 7
Fi 6
Se 4
Fe 4
Te 3
Si 0

INTJ, ENTP, what will the MBTI classify me as next, an ESFJ? I'm an INTP dammit, an INTP!

Hm, I took that one test again after about 6 months:

extraverted Sensing (Se) ************* (13.4)
unused
introverted Sensing (Si) ********** (10.1)
unused
extraverted Intuiting (Ne) ****************************************** (42.6)
excellent use
introverted Intuiting (Ni) ********************************************** (46.7)
excellent use
extraverted Thinking (Te) ****************************** (30.5)
good use
introverted Thinking (Ti) ****************************************** (42.9)
excellent use
extraverted Feeling (Fe) ********************************** (34.3)
good use
introverted Feeling (Fi) ******************** (20.1)
limited use

Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: ENTP

Lead (Dominant) Process
Extraverted Intuiting (Ne): Exploring the emerging patterns. Wondering about patterns of interaction across various situations. Checking what hypotheses and meanings fit best. Trusting what emerges as you shift a situation’s dynamics.

Support (Auxilliary) Process
Introverted Thinking (Ti): Gaining leverage (influence) using a framework. Detaching to study a situation from different angles and fit it to a theory, framework or principle. Checking for accuracy. Using leverage to solve the problem.

If these cognitive processes don't fit well then consider these types: INTP, or ENFJ

Which means that at this point every N-type has been suggested to me at least once!

The first test: Ti > Ne >> Si = Ni > Fe >= Fi >= Se > Te

I used >= as "slightly higher than", I suppose the likelihood of an error being too big to define the exact relation of the functions somehow justifies it. Or maybe not.

The other test:

Ne (47.1)
Ti (41.8)
Ni (38.7)
Fi (36.8)
Te (26.6)
Si (24.4)
Fe (17.5)
Se (7.5)

Seeing as the results are very different I'd say these test are rather inaccurate. However I got INTP in both. I agree with the first more, although not entirely.

I got

Ne 19
Ti 18
Fe 5
Si 5
Ni 3
Te 1

From the looks of this I might be an ENTP. Usually I score highly introverted on other tests though... extremely introverted... usually 100%. Although that doesn't seem quite right either... I'm not a hermit or anti-social...

My function order (although the top three flip around, and the bottom two flip around):

Ti > Ne > Ni > Fe > Si > Fi > Se > Te

At least it explains why, despite knowing what I am, I really really like INFJs a lot.

I remember my cognitive function order as:

extraverted Sensing (Se) ********************* (21.1)
limited use
introverted Sensing (Si) ************************ (24.8)
average use
extraverted Intuiting (Ne) ************************************* (37.8)
excellent use
introverted Intuiting (Ni) **************************************** (40.7)
excellent use
extraverted Thinking (Te) **************************** (28)
average use
introverted Thinking (Ti) ************************************************ (48)
excellent use
extraverted Feeling (Fe) *********** (11.5)
unused
introverted Feeling (Fi) *************************** (27.9)
average use

Notice the similar order of functions: Ji, Pi, Pe, Je x2
I hope it is not unhealthy to have the two strongest functions introverted ...
