Since I'm the one doing this y'know queer is as straight as this will get.

Here's how this works, any pairings that are so much as mentioned in passing (in this thread) become cannon, until of course another pairing with one of the previously paired posters is suggested, then the new one becomes the official pairing, negating the previous marriage arrangement; naturally the people being paired have no say in the matter and obviously you’re not allowed to suggest pairings for yourself.

Kudos to those who role-play their relationships, divorces and all; the whole idea is to create a soap opera on crack, so be bold & shameless!

To start things off... Shoeless X Adymus

I've always wanted to be on Jerry Springer! Alright Zero you say something to the effect of you 'lying cheating bastard' to Ore, I'll start trying to strangle you and a tussle will ensure and suddenly in the middle of it Oresama will break down sobbing that's he's pregnant will lor's child. It'll be awesome.

and much later Melkor and Ore's spawn will get married.

Humans don't tend to get pregnant unless they have a uterus. Thus if a male gets pregnant it's likely he was a female to male transsexual who kept the uterus or is intersexed.

I usually let people believe I'm male as people tend to believe that. I strive to have a more ambiguous online. As the dynamics between people seem to completely change depending on sex.

People are stupid.

It doesn't matter how neutral a person thinks they are, they fail.

This overall vomit-worthy thread was perhaps saved with this. Indeed. Humans don't stop being humans just because they have some good ideas. It would be interesting to see someone change their 'e-sex' and then watch the difference in treatment. It would be minimal here, but still noticeable.

It's not ... minimal here. The treatment is fairly across the board. In our society it certainly isn't as drastic, but it's there. With some people more drastically than others. There are certainly communities that would be much worse about it, but I don't think "minimal" is a good description for how it is here.

This is something that affects everyone and we can't think outside of it. From the moment we're put into a blue or pink blanket, so to speak, we'll never be free of it. It could also be said it's instinctive. We'll only be able to deconstruct on the social idea of gender as much as we can deconstructed on the biological sex.

Society will only progress towards neutrality and try to be neutral. We, as we physically and biologically are, will never be neutral. It is impossible.

I'm not playing the game... and since I spoke of it, neither are you.

Well, by 'here' I was referring to this forum's community, which I think deserves alot of credit for being mostly fair and not too concerned with someone's gender. But even then, you may be right that 'minimal' isn't quite right, I'm not sure.

perhaps. but i still think it can be overcome.

at the very least, on the internet. it might be more difficult in meatspace, but here, it's easy to be ballsy.

For the sake of argument, people of different genders are different and to some degree do think differently in accordance to their gender, of course by difference I don't mean to imply inequality.

Fuck it, read my next post.

Gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual are all applicable genders imo.

@-Zero
Speaking on supposedly "fair" terms here (i.e. giving no special treatment on account of your gender) give it a rest already, yes I understand the female stereotype is degrading, so is the male stereotype (perhaps not as much but it still is), the gay/lesbian ones doubly so, and the bisexual stereotype is arguably the wost, but lets not forget the asexuals as so many do, they're such a heavily suppressed minority group they don't even have an stereotype, just indiscriminately insulting labels.

Now I'm sorry if this offends you but I've heard it all before and it's not because I'm at all bothered by it that I feel the need to object to your clichéd complaining, it's because if I don't then I'm giving you exactly the kind of special treatment you're complaining about being given, if anything I fear I'm being too gentle by explaining all this.

Edit: Altered my last post.

Hard Candy is a 2006 psychological thriller film focusing on a confrontation between a sexual predator and a 14-year-old girl he attempts to ensnare.
......what?

Please explain to me, what exactly are you trying to say?

How is that movie & actress relevant to anything?

Ellen Page (17 or 18 at the time) played the role of the 14 yeard old girl who reversed roles with her potential ensnarer. If you haven't seen the film, you may be better off.
I try not to be too direct lest some be put off by what is seen. She placed the ensnarer in a position very much threatening to his gender. Saw the film yesterday.

Well complaining in a fun, lighthearted thread is always in bad taste regardless of the content imho. I understand how you feel Zero, but Ore's right. You made the distinction of being female first; simultaneously demanding to be treated like one. (in a similar way, Banana demands to be treated as a male) You cannot object to being treated as female when you go out of your way to clarify that you are. That's why it seems so obvious to you, you tend to make a rather large deal about it. It would be exceptionally easy to adopt a gender neutral persona here, and you choose not to.

Sure there are a few discriminating members, but the overwhelming majority and tone of the forum is remarkably equal and non-judgmental. All ideas are weighed on their individual value, certainly you can make yourself a reputation, but here a good idea never becomes inviable because of it's source.

If you are unhappy with the female stereotype, here or anywhere, then embrace what you are, but defy the expectations. Simply whining about it won't get you anywhere. I'd encourage this of any stereotype really; males, females, race, religion etc. (of course injustice should always be combated, but I don't see that here)

edit: lol I thought this thread ended on the last page :P

Sadly no... at least that wouldn't be as stereotypical. I have a video game fetish and I'm researching ants for a video game idea. Speaking of which, time to cover myself in nintendo cartridges and dance around on a Wii balance board waving the Duck Hunt gun around by the cord.

Did you still want that foot rub?
