I don't think it's ever socially 'acceptable'. People judge, and while being smart will make them judge you better (in general), they'll still judge.

Quite an amount. I have my own espresso machine. Since my wisdom teeth are appearing I am taking painkillers.

On topic : I'd say it depends on how eccentric vs how smart. The weirder you are, the smarter you must be to make up for it. There are limits tho.

Well I looked up the definition of that term. I have a lot of pictures of myself with old people, but I don't think that would suffice for proving that old ladies want to adopt me unfortunately. Now if you want proof that I'm cute, I've got tons of pictures But then again I already have an ego issue, so sharing them may be a bad thing...

I am successfully eccentric in high school. I think that by the time I am in university the shift in standards will mean that I'm just weird.
