So Sabine here, is claiming more bad news with climate change.
For those who want to know here is what she says in short.

There is a number in climate change models, called sensitivity.
This really tells us how much the model is true.
Essentially its very possible the models that were discounted before might actually be the worst and most true.

and surprise, surprise, she's sponsored by something called 'planet wild' - more environmentalist grifters who want your money so that they can save the world

sad how all these science youtubers eventually become corporate prostitutes

Yeah maybe, but do you think "planet wild" is actually sponsoring anyone? They don't seem like profitable enterprise.

I found her boring before she even started talking about the topic. If I wanted to make a video that people would NOT pay attention to, and wouldn't understand, then I would make a video like this.

1) Sabine, how can a high climate sensitivity tell you if your country's economy will collapse in 20 years? It's about the climate, dummy, not the frigging economy!!! Keep your frigging pension. If you are worried, you should be moving to somewhere really, really cold, like Antarctica. Yes, it's a nightmare to live in right now. But if you are right, then before long, it will be nice and toasty. So why aren't you moving to Antarctica or Alaska?

2) Sabine, deserts are definitely not places where viruses and bacteria thrive. No water for them to live off. Viruses and bacteria are common in tropical climates.

3) Sabine, why are you giving your money to save tortoises and lynx that will be dead in 20 years because of climate change? If it gets much hotter, then it will be too hot for those animals to live in their native environment. Unlike humans who can just go elsewhere, most animals don't have that level of sentience.

So Sabine here, is claiming more bad news with climate change.

It's just as possible that the worst models are the least true. This sort of thing will bring out the pessimists.

Don't get me wrong. I was a pessimist most of my life. But it's not going to help me to be pessimistic, unless we take action. What action can we take to prevent the worst case scenario? Well, the worst case scenario is that human-made climate change is destroying the planet due to us using petrolum and natural gas, to the extent that as long as keep using any of that, we are doomed.

So the only rational response to this, is to ban all cars and planes, and send us back to a pre-industrial lifestyle.

Sure, people lived a harder life then. But humans survived without any fossil fuels for 200,000 years. Surely we can survive that for a few decades, till we get all our modern tech converted to use only green energy, and then we can go back to the times like now.

Sure, that will require more physical effort. But there's an obesity crisis going on. We NEED people working out more. This will mean they'll get plenty of fresh air and exercise, without having to spend hours in the gym.

Sure, it will mean less time using gadgets that burn energy. But social media is already causing a global pandemic of mental illness.

So, if you stop all cars, and all planes, and all petroleum production, all petrol-based products, etc, then it's a win, win, win, baby.

Besides, if the ECS is this bad, sounds like we have no other choice.

I don't know whether she is right or not.
Honestly I don't know what to believe.
Too me the whole climate change things could be wrong and right.
That said no one paper or scientist will figure out climate alone.
Its just too much complex information.
Unless someone comes along and makes a complete predictive model that we can rely on or something.
We don't even have proof we can influence the climate.

admittedly i dont really know, but i doubt she's advertising for them for free

overall the video struck me like a propaganda piece. We had the token 'balanced' take on it with the La-nina/El-nino stuff, but the rest was just pure fear porn. Like, all academics are pumping out papers trying to reach the same conclusion, and.. dun dun dun.. some of them come to more extreme conclusions than others

i like her astrophysics stuff though, there she shows actual critical thinking

Yeah it does strike me as fear porn.
Her conclusions are not new though.
The things she said was something that has been said long time ago.

i looked at the table of these sensitivity numbers she was using as reference. It says right there at the bottom that the average is 3.78 with a standard deviation of 1.06. So they pretty much align with that "2 to 4.5" range she considered normal.

this is what happens when INTJs try to interpret statistical results (just kidding)
