I miss participating in this forum but I'm short on time these days so I figure why not do one of those ask me anything threads. I don't promise to be insightful or even truthful but I'll do my best to entertain.

Are you lonesome tonight?

As an afterthought, if you want a legitimate question or two:

Are you still consdering self imposed cyborg prosthetics or was that just a pipe dream?
Oh, and are you aware of/how do you feel about the teasing we've had of the game Cyberpunk? I know very little about it, but it reminded me of you/

I always recommend the path less travelled, if you want to be a game developer go Indie because the studios can hire/fire people on a whim, there's no shortage of great applicants. I do Microsoft CRM configuration and customisation which tbh is easy to pick up, web design is a good job too, if you can master CSS you'll find there's no shortage of freelance work. Ideally in the long run you want to build enough of a reputation with your clients and enough regular clients to become a consultant, people will pay good money for the opinion of a trusted expert.

Are you lonesome tonight?
My flatmate for almost a year just moved out, for the first time in my life I'm truly living alone, on the plus side I now have a study with an ensuite :D

I want life extension, I've wanted that from the moment I became cognisant of my mortality, but I'm no longer convinced that I should start integrating a BCI as soon as possible, better to wait and see what comes down the pipeline, worst case scenario I become a head in a jar with an oculus headset and EEG.

All I've seen is a cinematic trailer, that does not bode well.

Do you believe in magic?
Lol everything is magic until you know how it works :D

I drink spirits.

I suspect you're asking if I believe an immortal soul or inherent self.
The answer is no.

That's the worst case!? Sign me up.

I too was enthusiastic for something called Cyberpunk, but they seem to be focusing more on the 'HEY LOOK MY ARMS ARE SWORDS' side of things. As opposed to my prefered approach which is 'HOW DO I LIVE LIKE A NORMIE WITH SWORD ARMS'.

Continuing my trend:

Are you into Deus ex then? Again, another franchise I've yet to get in to, but somehow ireveocably associate you with. (I mean, apart from the facial hair and cyborg attachments, I also swear you were rocking an avatar of that at some point.)

Also how worried are you for the production of the Scarjo lead Ghost in the Shell?

Since we're on spirits, what's your prefered brand of Whiskey?

I KNOW pisses me off to no end, the most fun I had in DE human revolution was exploring Adam's apartment, figuring out what he'd done, how he'd been living, puzzling over the motivation for the clock he was making.

I am and I like the character but the game's a bit silly, I feel like there's a writer at Eidos who's desperate to tell great stories but the higher ups just want a marketable game.

Also how worried are you for the production of the Scarjo lead Ghost in the Shell?
I want long philosophical discussions, she's a hot actress and Motoko Kusanagi is a hot character but if the movie doesn't portray how strong (in every sense of the word) and intelligent Kusanagi is it's missing why she's not just another hot anime chick.

I like JD for its bite, good in mixers and even on its own for a shot or two, although if we're talking straight drinking whiskey I'm quite partial to Fireball, I like to have a bottle by my desk and take a swig every hour or so.

What's your line of work and/or studies?
CRM configuration and customization.
