Oh, I don't know. S-types can be pretty weird too. Especially theemosISFPs.
I think a good indicator might be that they do non-mainstream things.
I just want to have someone who I can talk to. I was watching family guy yesterday and I saw how Brian (INTP) was hanging out with Stewey (ENTx). I want that king of coversation. I want the kind of conversation we have here on the forum! But with people in real life. I wish I could take all you guys out to a bar and just talk and drink with you guys.
I think I agree. I find both N and S humor to be funny though. It's just that the type of humor is different. S humor seems to be based more on how things look or sound funny, often using culturally shared sensory experiences as its basis. N humor is harder to put my finger on, but I know it when I'm around it. I think it's most likely to be the kind you find funny but don't know why. Like when you find yourself laughing for no obvious reason. This can make S types think you're weird.Their sense of humor is probably the biggest tell. If you notice people making jokes that you think are funny, they're probably intuitive too. I find all of my friends to be quite funny, and they all happen to be intuitive. Hmmmm!

It requires more work to go through and explain to someone that everything they've said is horrific horse shit than to sit, listen, and offer opinions.
But sometimes it is oh so worth it to do so. Especially when their bullshit idea is so stupid it is offensive.
Sometimes one's intuition is wrong or missing and can be improved. If you name a bullshit idea that is offensive, maybe I can try another intuition.
Are you challenging me to procure one?
I don't know if I can think of a specific example, I just know that there have been several situations where an immensely dumb person has gone through the effort to grow one misinterpreted, usually prejudiced, unsupported statement into this disconnected, poorly explained theory, then have diarrhea of the mouth and sow their stupidity into other equally dumb people's minds. Such as an explanation of why it makes sense and would be a GOOD idea to "nuke the whole middle east".
Yes a challenge, but the one you just gave does the trick. Lots of people don't see the whole picture as some interpreters of Islam. Sure they got it wrong just as many Christians fail to act or think in a "Christian" manner. This is an issue of how to deal with prejudice. It's a broad issue, worthy of Ti and Ne. It's both an issue in sociology and how to deal with the person who is mouthing this stuff. I don't know, but I'd invite the person to explain their view. Then try to trip them up on something small. The idea is to put doubt in their mind. Now it's my turn to think of an example.
Okay. Let me see if I got this right. I am talking to a person who doesn't get it. I am a thinking person. So if I can't figure any way to get through to them, why am I continuing? I have no choice but to quit until and unless I can think of something better. The only problem is that these people are the people who are too...(searching for word-failing-sighing)....stupid to even realize that they are wrong. Even when you trip them up or completely take their argument's metaphorical pants off they just keep plowing on, talking louder, being more general and vague, then just saying "NOPE, YOU'RE STUPID, YOU'RE WRONG". They might as well just put their fingers in their ears and go "lalalalalala".

Maybe this can be empirically verified if both an N and an S write a joke in this thread, so we can tell the difference.Their sense of humor is probably the biggest tell. If you notice people making jokes that you think are funny, they're probably intuitive too. I find all of my friends to be quite funny, and they all happen to be intuitive. Hmmmm!
i am gonna sound like an asshole here but...
don't make friends on the premise of N/S preference, the person my age who 'Gets me' the best is an ISTP...
