Veh. Not telling.
I have finally found a decent socionics test so therefore it seems to fit here quite nicely.
I got a result of 'ILE' and, correlating to mbti, it is suppose to be an ENTP. .... >.<
Concerning all the other possibilities I could be (e.g.- infp, entp, intp, intj, and such), it would only be the safest to "label" myself currently as XXXX.

ILI with SLI, IEI and ILE being 'also considered'.

I think this is the first non-whatroadsignareyou personality test I've taken in a year and a half.

I got an IEI and from reading the Wiki, it seems somewhat accurate.

I settled on the sociotype.com test, it looked a little more comprehensive. ILI, LII quite close secondary.

From descriptions I found via the webpage, these seem a bit different from MBTI. Does anyone have any good, thorough resources on socionics?

The biggest issue with learning Socionics is that most people who do learn it come from an MBTI background, so their Socionics understanding is always going to be compared with MBTI in terms of what's accurate and correct. There's so much relativity because typology without science is really just a perspective-dependent subject.

With that said, this is pretty comprehensive: http://www.typelab.ru/en/articles/lytovs-intro1.html

WTF is ILI?:storks:

Intuitive-Logical-Introtim or NiTe/INTp (does not necessarily equate to MBTI INTP or INTJ)

It is the Three-Letter-Code used in Socionics which is optimized to represent Jung's psychological types.

Introtim = Introvert

Got ILE twice, and LII once. I'm a bit confused as to the field of socionics. It has some similarities to the MBTI, but a lot of it seems to be pulled out of someone's ass. For example, when I read descriptions of INTP, I felt myself in it a lot. The descriptions of ILE and LII were a lot less so.

My point, it's always being compared in the same sense as MBTI. That's not to say it wasn't pulled out of anyone's ass of course.

ILI. Like Mickael Moore, Stanley Kubrick. And none of my friends. Cause or consequence: I have no friends. :kilroy:

Socionics is just some pseudoscience. So it is a great risk to take what is written for granted.

Well my result is EIE, pretty weird considering i am always labelled INTP in the MBTI test.
Still a lot of the things said were recognizable, although, maybe all vague social behavior/ psychological analyses probably are.
The only thing that is completely wrong in the socionics is the fact that i should be expressive, being somewhat an INTP i don't express my emotions and have some problems with social skills.
I read a little bit of the ILI description (which should correspond to INTP, and that seems true considering people here obtained that) and it still fits to me somewhat (maybe i have a little bit less of a vivid world of systems in my head, than what is said).
I don't know maybe i'm a little bit a crossover, when i'm in social mood :EIE and rest of the time I tend to be more of an ILI/INTP.

Result: EII. Considered types: LII, EIE, IEI. Basically, EII matched my MBTI result (INFJ), INTJ and INFP were plausible (perhaps), and ENFJ was out of its mind. Take everything I say with a grain of salt: Socionics is hardly my expertise. I just popped my Socionics cherry. :D

First two functions Formal name Four-letter name Social role Type alias
Logical Sensory Extrovert (LSE) ESTj Administrator / Director Stierlitz
Logical Intuitive Extrovert (LIE) ENTj Enterpriser / Pioneer Jack London
Ethical Sensory Extrovert (ESE) ESFj Bonvivant / Enthusiast Hugo
Ethical Intuitive Extrovert (EIE) ENFj Mentor / Actor Hamlet
Sensory Logical Extrovert (SLE) ESTp Legionnaire / Conqueror Zhukov
Sensory Ethical Extrovert (SEE) ESFp Politician / Ambassador Napoleon (or Caesar)
Intuitive Logical Extrovert (ILE) ENTp Seeker / Inventor Don Quixote
Intuitive Ethical Extrovert (IEE) ENFp Psychologist / Reporter Huxley
Logical Sensory Introvert (LSI) ISTj Inspector / Pragmatist Maxim Gorky
Logical Intuitive Introvert (LII) INTj Analyst / Mastermind Robespierre (or Descartes)
Ethical Sensory Introvert (ESI) ISFj Guardian / Conservator Dreiser
Ethical Intuitive Introvert (EII) INFj Humanist / Empath Dostoyevsky
Sensory Logical Introvert (SLI) ISTp Craftsman / Artisan Gabin
Sensory Ethical Introvert (SEI) ISFp Mediator / Peacemaker Dumas
Intuitive Logical Introvert (ILI) INTp Critic / Observer Balzac
Intuitive Ethical Introvert (IEI) INFp Lyricist / Romantic Yesenin
Fukyo's about to get on my ass over exhuming this thread, but I was curious. ;)
Am I confused about the EII result? Does this signify INFP instead? Mixed reports online...

The cognitive functions between MBTI and Socionics seem quite different, especially introverted feeling.

Apparently some functions get flipped, comparing MBTI and Socionics, and predictive ability does down when dealing with introverted types and Socionics, right?

I say only some functions become inverted because extraverted thinking, for example, seems really similar between the two systems.
