I'm starting to see a problem with group think there too if anyone's been watching the socialize child rearing thread. The admins are downright hostile toward differing points of view. I joined both of these forums hoping to discuss things calmly so that I can refine my own ideas. So far I've only gotten that here. Maybe the problem seems worse because I'm on the receiving end of what feels like prejudice.

in the last few weeks the most stimulating discussions have been james bond and time paradox.

before that we had free will and abortion, much better in my opinion.

We need something new to discuss.

I think most people on here just like to read. What initially caught my attention regarding this forum is the relatively massive amount of unregistered viewers.
And I myself kind of prefer to read more than actually post something.

Yes, please. Could the politics be world politics? As for religion... um, I suppose discussing dogma would be out of place, but other than that we could only discuss the place of religion in contemporary society or something similar, and I'm not sure that'd be an original topic.

Can we really talk about sex and not be kicked out of the forum? (to do: review forum rules).

Anything but that...please.

But I have been pretty inactive as far as online forums go which has been a very nice change. But many INTPs prefer being a lurker than an active poster.

And yes, the group think that permeates INTPc is quite embarassing, to say the least. I am just thankful that there is this forum that presents the type in a more realistic context, I think.

Maybe I should start doing threads though that is an extreme rarity for me to do. It makes me feel so self-conscious.

Well, threads with a serious (more or less, but somehow serious) topic are alway welcome, i personnally just dono't like all these meaningless threads in other forums, which are just there for the sake of filling space and post counting...

Perhaps that helps explain why any thread I start on other forums results in me being the first and last to post in my own thread...hmm.
