No inconvenience at all. I had good practice holding my breath. Thank you for the bill paid. Now many can have a sigh of relief.

I was wondering though. Do you have backup ... just in case? Germany has been known to fall on hard times.

OMG!!!!! It's back up. I almost want to cry. I missed you guys. I tried to use personalitycafe, but could not get into it. It wasn't the same.

I almost contacted the host of the website. If it wasn't back up to day I was going to call him. My friend help me find him online.

I was told by 2 different women I was very attractive, this weekend. The forum being back up makes me happier. That should tell you how much I missed this place.

Every now and then I take a database backup --- but this is more in the nature of supposing the Taliban nuclear submarine force takes out Kansas sometime --- because URLJet takes hourly backups. And they actually do. The web is a whole new ballgame compared with even four years ago: maintaining a site is nearly hands-off unless one nurses a server.


Although vBulletin is getting rather old.

I once bumped my head during snowboarding really hard and went into a dreamstate for like 2 seconds, much like when you faint, and when I got down the piste I had the strange idea ringing in my head that I had died during that head-bump and that everything from that point was just make-belief.

That said, I had made some snarky comments towards Kuu and then I seemed to have been banned only hours after, I was really confused that he would be such a despot, as he didn't seem like it, and hey, INTP'S should be above that right? Turns out he wasn't - faith in all mods restored

I mean, despite that if one looks around and thinks about it, the screen welcoming oneself when attempting to access intpforum.com would not have been what one would see if one were banned, the only remaining likely occurrence being the host having suspended the forum.

My guess was either a bill wasn't paid or our site exceeded its bandwidth.

It's happened occasionally in the past.

And so it happens again. No big deal. Nobody died. (That I know of.)

I admit, I was disappointed at having to take my snark elsewhere.... especially to a forum where the members just started to debate whether snark was too hostile.

What's a snarker to do?
