Alcest - Summer's Glory - YouTube
From Alcest's very new album
Les Voyages De L'Âme
Boring harmony most of the time and all together a pretty monotone tune (upon listening through the whole thing I retract the statement of monotony), but I can appreciate the timbre of the vocals and the overall atmosphere as at times laid out by the synth and reverberant guitars. For me it became much more interesting and pleasant at 3.36 onwards. Overall I'd give it a 6-7 depending on my mood.

This is music one must really listen to as it is fairly complex. The whole album is one long continuity, divided by 24 sections, this is one of them and by listening only to one the ending my feel a little abrupt.
The whole thing is based off a 60 min. drum improvisation which has been used as the foundation for the composition.
I like it because every time I listen to the album I hear something new, or tune in on some element which I haven't been too aware of earlier. Also, I really appreciate rhythmic complexity and here I get that in bunches

The whole thing is also as dynamic as some classical pieces, only that it is sat in a more modern setting. Perfect. I don't think too many people can appreciate this however, as it is pretty "out there" depending on what your background is.
Oh, and the fact that Alex has done everything (arranging, recording, laying the tracks) except the drums is just sick.
