Looks a little lamer than I would have hoped but I was excited. I'm tired of the whole dark twist they add to it, the colors are bland, and it mimics the style of other blockbusters too much. While we were all expecting something more adult or teen oriented for this day and age, it still could have been different. Correlation doesn't equal causation and even when these films fail they still use the same designs and palettes hoping it would strike well with audiences. There was no other way to do it so they just went with that look to satisfy the new dark requirements. Judging from the trailer, and maybe with a sequel, they can try to resemble the original show a little more, for those who remember. But digital can never really be like film, more often than not.

Fun fact: Power Rangers were made as to indoctrinate kids (in Japan) into thinking Hitler was bad. They, the 'rangers', were originally cast as members from the UN as well.
