I would say that Buddhism is a good start.

In the warrior sense, you need to have self-control.

So the mind must be controlled and that means your body is part of the mind.

I have come to think that emotions and self-discipline are related. For me, I need to learn how to pay attention so that I can do whatever intellectual task I set to do. Gaining as much awareness as possible to not let my mind wander and not let any negative emotions affect me. With enough awareness, I can do any intellectual or physical task. Awareness can be stimulated by external forces but also by internal forces. That is why the body must first be controlled to induce internal control.

do = get energy into a new location to change something into a desired reality
