Anyone enjoy the first game and/or plan on getting the second game when it is released in a few weeks?

Yes, I enjoyed the first game's demo. It's one of the best games ever, in my opinion. As great as it is, I haven't been compelled to the point of purchasing it.

I don't think I can as my computer is not good enough, however I thoroughly enjoyed the first one. Not "the best game ever" in my opinion, but certainly very memorable. I think it was only recently that me and my friends got over "the cake is a lie" jokes.

Portal was great, but as with most games I'll only buy it once the price drops

Agreed.

When they start selling it for $10 on steam, I'll buy it then. I don't need it this instant.

I've got a preorder in for it, not sure if I'll actually get around to buying it though. Not that the game isn't worth it, but they're coming out with a lot of games in 2011 that are "worth it" and I could wait a few months, save $60 and play it some other way (borrow, buy used, gamefly, etc.).

In any case I'm sure it'll be a great experience. Can't wait to see how they eventually tie in the Portal story with Half-Life's. (pretty sure this'll happen eventually, probably with HL2: Ep. 3)

Portal is awesome. I may have to buy a new computer for that game alone.

Maybe I'll buy it when the price drops by a ton...

Probably not, because I have no money and I torrent everything...

At the moment I am satisfied with Assassins Creed Brotherhood (which I will buy... someday) and Dragon Age II (Eh, I'll just buy Mass Effect II instead... someday).

Valve, your competition is the price of gas in terms of getting to school plus the price of del taco's tuesday and thursday deals...

Haven't played portal I. Portal II was fun:) For me, the way going about puzzle solving was new, so it was interesting. It was a little frustrating sometimes, but overall, I really enjoyed it. Some of the characters was really intriguing and fun. The co-op is great even though I haven't finished it yet.

I really enjoyed the first one and I want to play the second. However, I can't currently justify the price so I'll just have to wait. In the mean time I'll finish up ilomilo

Portal 2 was pretty good, i recommend it, of course i share a steam account with 5 other people and someone else bought it, so it was free too! I didn't find it extremely challenging but i was very impressed by the creative level design. The Co-op was even easier playing with a friend over vent but i think that waiting for a price drop is a better idea as the game wasn't completely mind blowing.

EDIT: typo's...

Got about 10 minutes left on my download. Never played Portal I, but it looks fun. PSN needs to come back up so I can get back on some COD.

edit:just got to chapter 2, this game is fun. Some of the puzzles I solve by accident though. Im still not 100% on how the physics of the portals work.

I was disappointed by coop. I beat it with a friend when we were both half asleep, and not even communicating really. We'd both kind of figure it out on our own and then wait for the other to push the right buttons etc. It was too easy and short.

SP was good.
Cave Johnson is pretty much the same character as Saxton Hale, which is unfortunate because I think Saxton Hale and that whole tangent of TF2 got really annoying and repetitive.

My favourite stage was the one where you coat everything in semen from a giant pipe.

I played it through in one sitting without breaks when I got home from my friend's house where I'd seen her boyfriend playing and thought, "Bugger the expense, I'm getting it." And man, were those the best nine hours of the past few months.
(I cried about a million times at the ending; sue me, I'm an INFP.)

What to say? Maybe that it is so amazing idea with story, various gels, tech. thingies like jump pads, hard light, funnels etc. and many more... just... awesome! :'-) And if there are even perfect graphics and super music, it is... well, that super-awesome word is not in my database of english words :D

By now I've played the first in its entirety. Excellent game.
As for getting II, I'm pretty satisfied.

I just beat Portal 2, I love GlaDOS <3.

Now to find someone to play the co-op with.

I hated Wheatly from the moment I met him at the start, annoying bastard, he didn't get computer the logical paradox haha.

GlaDOS: "This sentence is false."
Wheatly: "True."
GlaDOS: *whispers to self* "Don't think about it, don't think about it."
*box robots short circuiting around*

The ending song is worthy of finding and putting on my iPod :D.

I have youtubed the ending song, but it seems different from what I saw. At least the video was different. On my video the lyrics to the song was being produced on the right side of the screen, and the credits on the left, this I find odd really. My video also seems longer, but I need to time it to make sure.

I'm currently at chapter 4 (Portal II). It's kinda dull 'cause it's too easy and there barely is action.

Is the multiplayer cool?

It's not about the puzzles being hard, it is about getting to the next little part to hear GLaDOS belittle you.

I love those parts. I could replay the game over and over just to get those clever sarcastic remarks again and again :D.

lol

I also don't get why this game takes so much to load
Perhaps it's my computer
Or the fact that I download the torrent
