just to clarify, i do like you guys and i sort of regret not being able to get to know everyone better. obviously i am struggling with my own issues, one of the effects of which is increasing social isolation.

but even the people here who are disturbingly, disturbingly close to sociopathy i managed to learn things from. i also understand it's not entirely your fault that you are emotionally handicapped. it is simply the way your brains are wired... and, also, no doubt some of you have never experienced hardship in life (i suggest you work on your empathy if you're one of these people; it really is a gift!)

So have I, I am so sad over this ban... I was just learning how to properly argue with him and he presented so much good information, made so many interesting discussions happen. Most of the previous bans I could at least understand as they genuinely sought conflict but all Muir wanted to do was share his views and warn people in the only way he knew how. And wtf is "dumping ground for his agenda" or "proletizing(w/e)" even used as arguments, how is sharing ones data supposed to be a bad thing. Probably just didn't like the way he argued, I don't either but poor arguing skills really shouldn't be a cause to blacklist him.(And that's what it was, poor arguing skills). I certainly think he could learn better ways to share his views if given time.

Still pretty much sums up my view on the matter. It's a disgraceful ban with the only real justification that he "wasn't likeable" yeah sure lets just ban anyone we don't like for whatever inane reason rather than try to learn from them and test the limits of the views that you hold. Gah, this is so BS and I actually expected better from this place.

We haven't kicked them off the internet. We were nothing special to them. They've probably found a new place to start proselatysing again already. If you google them you'll likely be able to start up whatever you had with them once more.

I think maybe it was because of something I posted that influence the banning of muir. I got mad so posted what I thought of him ignoring what I said to make it look like I was racist and against his analysis that vaccines cause autism. I am not racist and I do think it is possible vaccines cause autism. I have autism and my mom has autism but I always explain why I have the positions I do in forum debates. Explanations are most important to me because causality matters. If you believe something for the wrong reason then that is not not good in my opinion. I try to present alternative to what that reason may be and why I think so. Look, it is obvious that what muir posted was conspiracy theory stuff. Muir mentioned that "some person" derailed his vaccine thread with illuminati crap. Other people did post symbolism stuff but it was because muir brought it up first. I only posted in response to muir but muir saw everything as a derailment. His thread was about autism and just so happens I have autism. So I thought is was a good idea to share how people usually misrepresent such topics as eugenics. I think Hitler killed jews because of their personality and high intelligence but muir used that as an excuse to call me a racist.

As for him not getting 'personal', he hasn't been given the time nor opportunity to.

He wasn't given the opportunity to be part of this community.

Were I any other, I'm pretty sure I would have been quickly disposed of too.

(I also had the thought of impulsively quitting in protest.. But I know all about me and my impulses, enough to ignore them - sometimes)
