Sup brah, you like personality cafe?

It's alright..

It has a section for us, yet it doesn't glorify us over other types; NOT cool bro, not cool.

Obviously, as many of you already know, or are in the process of finding out, or are about to begin the process of finding out, other types are inferior... Ok, that's sounds cocky and arrogant, so what, this is an INTP forum so I shouldn't get much flack for that. Anyways, personality cafe isn't a bad site, it's butt plugged with plenty of us, I just..... I'm hungry.

Hehe, yeah. Though this forum is very shy about how much it cares.

It's not something that is voiced often, but there's an underground current of attachment that we all pretend isn't there, and interact T-status on the surface. Slightly warm in a nerdy way, and not overly sappy or corny. I like.

Much better than the open affection (flattery/adulation) of, say, infjforum...

I like lurking there sometimes. I see alot of this forum's members doing some masturbating over there too.

(BTW WHERE THE HELL is Dimensional Trans at? I havent seen him posting here in a while. I mean, I never talked to him much, but the kid was cool, and I miss seeing his posts on here.) :phear:

Personality Cafe seems to be dominated by intps and infps, and intjs(NT and NF). SP's and SJ's are not so active on there, as they are most likely busy with activities instead. From my own perspective, I can only seem to get NT's and NF's into MBTI. SP's and SJ's are more likely to blow it off after talking about it one time. Maybe the description of S and even F can be off-putting to some.

I like reading the INFP section too. Their writing is usually good and easy to follow. I especially like when an INFP and ENFP posts a thread in the INTP forum like "I love INTP's" because we usually convince them to hate INTP's before page 3 of the thread. They dont get our humor sometimes.

I hate threads about typing famous people. I'm just like "No, No, No, Fuck No, No, Huh? Im out of here."

I love typing famous people.

Why, if I may ask, do you dislike it?

I found the community there to be significantly less friendly and fun. A lot of people seemed to be trying too hard to maintain their identity as a certain type, to the point of becoming caricatures. People here seem to be a lot more open to humoring the odd or potentially useless. It feels more welcoming, too.

Well, it's not that I dislike it. I just find that I disagree with most of the posts, and get bored of skipping through the ones I think are way off. I dont really know why I said I hated it lol. I am pretty bad at typing famous people myself though.

For example I am an INFP on Personality Cafe...

It must just be different strokes and where people fit. I find it easier to fit in over there, people interact with me; here, not so much. I post there pretty regularly. I also enjoy the INTP discussion section, although at this point some of the same old topics are starting to pop up now.

This site's INTP tone seemed to be somewhere between that site and INTPc.

The guy that started personality cafe hung around here for a while looking for ideas and then asking for some suggestions. So we pretty much built personality cafe for him, we are the Idea people, after all.

I post there sometimes. I've actually been visiting there more often than I do here lately and I don't really know why. They're an interesting group over there imo.

There was a slew of hacks last summer (?) on various type sites.
TypC wasn't the only one that got hit, but the site did go down for two days, resulting in some security holes finally getting the patching they needed.

From my understanding, the hacker was not an admin at PersCafe, although he did knew staff there. I had investigated the incident to my heart's content and am satisfied with the conversations I had with staff over there. I think there were a few posts that showed up even on this site about it (and about the staff), but I'm not sure at this point.

Persons X, Y and Z did a number on them.

As a warning to the privacy minded: clearly it's perfectly safe.

I would also warn against the use of PersonalityCafe as Lance has personally told me that he reads the PMs of members who grab his attention. You can confirm that with other sources to change it from my words vs his words. I don't keep pictures of 2 year old conversations.

As I said, tis a silly place.
