haha yeah sometimes I start threads like for example about art appreciation/art critiques or obama's mbti type, and i get responses full of art haters, or people who don't want to answer my question about obamas mbti type. oh man i know how it goes.

about the coffee... I mean gosh cant you just keep it to PM ;) ;)

Just kidding, it really wasnt me. coffee is awesome though. wanna go out? if youre a girl, even better. girl on girl action.

There will be no girl on girl action. Or any action for that matter. I think will be an informal meeting regarding funding.

Obama's mbti? No idea. Umm maybe ENFJ due him personifying a messiah like character.

Maybe she's trying to hide her eagerness to see you. Since it was her idea, and you responded with a cool "sure", so now she has to balance it.

Or maybe she was stating a fact but has no intention of actually doing it, just that she would like to.

Or maybe it was the wrong number?

Or, she's momentarily concerned with something else and has not taken the time to reply.

Maybe she's really indecisive and doesn't know what to say.

Maybe she has realized she wants tea instead but doesn't know how to break it to you.

Perhaps her cellular phone is on silent, and she hasn't heard it.

Maybe her cat ate the phone before she could reply?

Maybe she has already replied by now.

There's still many reasons, but once it's been 24 hours then maybe confusion would be more appropriate. Im not an expert.

EDIT: Seems like it was the last one. I type slow.

I confuse people, especially NFs.

Then there are others who put a label on me and have decided one identity of mine, and they would be proven wrong shortly after- if they had not already made their decision.

I try to predict people on autopilot. But enough about me, how about this elephant :elephant:

based on the thread, I assume maybe you've already had coffee and it was an "awkward" meeting?

let's just review how maybe I would have responded under certain circumstances; and by no means am I a Casanova, but I am just trying to logically respond in the manner which best achieves your goals...

first of all-- do you want to have sex with this girl? and, do you think she is flirting with you? or, is it ambiguous, as maybe you have already mentioned, just wanting your money/funding?

"sure, send me the details" seems like a very robotic unenthusiastic response; if this was how you felt, then fine; but if you were more enthused, you should have let her know so...

she did put herself out there by initiating the text, so that your response is somewhat of a half rejection... the "send me the details part" alone could prevent any chance of getting laid;

effectively, when she says she wants to get coffee with you, she is giving you the chance to take the lead and set the date, but you throw the ball back into her court;

now I am only assuming courtship here when your relationship could be professional.

a more social response (given that you want to flirt with her) could have been something like:

"cool, you free later today?"

^showing that you are eager, but not TOO eager to meet with her

a "too eager response" might be:

==> avoid ==> "SURE! cool, when can I pick you up!!!!"

okay I shouldn't be giving "relationshit" advice but that's the best I got.

:confused:

INTP's (Inferior Fe) are the worst to ask advice on this. Coincidentally enough, I also had this really awkward(but very interesting, I like awkwardness XD) conversation with a person just now. I know her online and I see her around a lot, but we don't know really each other. I sat near her for around 10 minutes before I finally said something. hehe. Fe made several stupid judgments/over-thinking by that time too. People are strange, yes, very unlike their economic counterparts.

I think worrying about the details of exactly what to say is an INTP thing to do.

Since you're an INTJ, why not just date rape her with some kind of complex chemical that you know about, which alters her mind

Okay in all seriousness there's some truth to the "what to say" thing, but overanalysis in any form sucks. You don't have enough time in your life to get hung up over what is basically just personal style of doing things. Your intuition will learn from experience what tends to work for you. Just go out and try, try again

Ahahhahahaha I burst out laughing when I read that.

I would give advice but there aren't enough details. Like, how did you meet her? Have you hung out before? etc etc.
