you don't understand that cc did not imply an MBTI comparison but rather you just used his post to try and make your criticism of such a potential comparison seem like it wasn't completely redundant. only in your own head has that comparison/equation been given merit. don quixote.
please show me some of my many many strawman accusations and also why they're invalid. strawman is a very common fallacy, especially among borderline-idiot S-doms pretending to be brainy, such as yourself, scorpiomover, BAP, DIALECTIC and the late chad.
You think my comment was toward CC but it was not. Then you ask me to show you where you have said "stawman" implying that you did not use that word to describe peoples arguments an then argue that some of the best contributors of this forum use stawman arguments. You are being incredibly inconsistent. In short why should I show you these accusations and prove that they are irrelevant? It wont change your immature behavior so I see no point.
Blarraun's post's "implied" connection to MBTI was only through its reference to your own post, which in turn was founded on your misinterpretation of CC's post. Neither CC or Blarraun were saying what you thought they were. You completely constructed the illusion of confusion out of your own.
You think my comment was toward CC but it was not. Then you ask me to show you where you have said "stawman" implying that you did not use that word to describe peoples arguments an then argue that some of the best contributors of this forum use stawman arguments.
Took it again and got the same top four (Creator, Warrior, Destroyer, Seeker), but with Creator edging out over Warrior. However, when organized by percentiles, Destroyer came out on top:
You scored 68% on Destroyer, higher than 90% of your peers.
You scored 72% on Warrior, higher than 89% of your peers.
You scored 72% on Seeker, higher than 73% of your peers.
You scored 65% on Sage, higher than 57% of your peers.
You scored 56% on Magician, higher than 51% of your peers.
You scored 76% on Creator, higher than 45% of your peers.
You scored 37% on Orphan, higher than 41% of your peers.
You scored 62% on Ruler, higher than 39% of your peers.
You scored 50% on Innocent, higher than 37% of your peers.
You scored 43% on Fool, higher than 8% of your peers.
You scored 24% on Caregiver, higher than 3% of your peers.
You scored 22% on Lover, higher than 0% of your peers.
I think this ranking system is more accurate because it filters out the Creator bias in the test results (and tells me that I am the least loving person on the planet).
Destroyer description:
Goal: Metamorphosis
Fear: Annihilation
Response to Dragon/Problem: Allow dragon to slay it
Task: Let go
Gift: Humility
Addictions: Self-destructive habits like alcohol or smoking, suicide
The Destroyer is central to metamorphosis. The void that the Destroyer leaves in its wake is more profound and debilitating than the abandonment experienced by the Orphan. The Destroyer often is a person in the prime of life, who has a fully developed identity and a belief in their ability to cope. One is not a Destroyer because of wrongdoing. The experience of misfortune can either cripple or be transformative. Sometimes we succumb to madness or cynicism, but sometimes we can let go of the old and be open to the new. The Destroyer is also the transformer. Rebirth, after all, follows death. At best, a Destroyer can be revolutionary, subverting and destroying harmful and repressive systems.
Shadow Destroyer:
All acts of self-destruction and totally destructive acts are those of the pathological Destroyer. The Destroyer turns us into villains when we refuse to acknowledge and take responsibility for the inevitable harm we do.
Destroyer/Warrior is an interesting pair: someone who pushes themselves so hard they kill themselves.
You misread. The comparison was one archetype in relation to all other archetypes. It had nothing at all to do with alternative theories, let alone MBTI specifically.
Well, we are on an MBTI forum of sorts and the subject matter should largely be about the test this thread introduced. I don't really understand what all the confusion is about.
I'm willing to bet my results had the most difference between the most significant attribute and the least significant ones.
And finally, Bronto has never accused me of using a straw man argument before this first itme but has made this claim about others many many times.
You think my comment was toward CC but it was not. Maybe if you elaborated on the situation instead of doing... whatever it is that you are doing, we could find some sort of clarification.
You can't compare this test to MBTI theory. Its apples and oranges. Architect might have something to say about personality regarding this if he cares to, which I doubt he will; its just a silly test.
I think that this ambiguity made Brontosaurie smash your head against the edge of the bathroom sink in a "buddy buddy" way to help us recognise the problem. I remember a similar scene from Bourne.
I hope there was no real anger or hate involved.
To be more precise, the thing that has caused the problem was your prolonged equivocal explanation.
Maybe if you stated: "No! I meant this post and this." You would be understood.
But I think it is too obvious to draw any further connections, so there is no real need to reply to me if you don't feel like it. I was actually responding thinking this way the entire time, while being unsure if that was correct.
You are the Creator!
32% Innocent, 67% Orphan, 56% Warrior, 67% Caregiver, 75% Seeker, 46% Lover, 73% Destroyer, 80% Creator, 56% Magician, 50% Ruler, 63% Sage and 57% Fool!
Goal: Identity
Fear: Inauthenticity
Response to Dragon/Problem: Claim it as part of the self
Task: self-creation, self-acceptance
Gift: Individuality, vocation
Addictions: Work, creativity
The Creator is the center of improvement, always striving to create and better her/his surroundings. The Soul is the center of the Creator’s dance, and it seeks to find a deeper sense of self and wisdom even at the price of the Ego’s functions of keeping us healthy and functioning. The Soul is the source of our freewill, and the healthy creator can tap into the potential, creating circumstances while others feel acted upon by her/his actions.
The Creator is driven to be authentic despite the costs. Creators are threatening to Warriors and Seekers, who are very concerned with how things are ‘supposed’ to be.
Shadow Creator:
The Shadow creator creates without any sense of responsibility for what s/he is making. The Shadow Creator often will deny his/her responsibility in events. Most often, the Creator is shunned by the community, and a Shadow Creator seeks to create to disturb the community from which s/he is shunned. If a creation comes out badly, a Shadow Creator will blame circumstances.

Imo, since the answers to the questions are not absolutely reliable, there should be some error associated with the results (+/- 5 or whatever).

Seems pretty accurate. Especially the part below, it generally covers how I feel about my childhood and feeling protected under a veil of ignorance.
"The Journey of the Innocent, in all its versions, begins in a kind of utopia, a safe, secure, peaceful, loving environment. Suddenly, we are thrown fro m that environment and enter a world where we are judged, where unfair discriminations are made, where conflict and violence are rampant and illusions are shattered.”
This strikes a nerve. People's natures and degrees of concepts of means and ends can vary wildly. When they interact, there is unknowing strife. This and other results are the stuff of the poetry of the mundane, which is difficult to articulate.
You are the Fool!
55% Innocent, 56% Orphan, 60% Warrior, 56% Caregiver, 51% Seeker, 51% Lover, 59% Destroyer, 72% Creator, 39% Magician, 62% Ruler, 64% Sage and 78% Fool!
Goal: Enjoyment
Fear: Nonaliveness
Response to Dragon/Problem: Play tricks on it
Task: Trust in the process
Gift: Joy, freedom
Addictions: Excitement, cocaine, alcohol
The Fool is the archetype most helpful in dealing with the absurdities of the modern world and with faceless, amorphous modern bureaucracies– places where no one takes personal responsibility, rules are expected to be followed mo matter how absurd they might be, and the tables are incredibly stacked against individual effectiveness. A Jester does not merely provide entertainment, but also points out the failings of the kingdom to a wise Ruler. Thus, Fools are often the most serious archetype of all. The Fool often violates social norms in humourous ways to avoid provoking undue hostility.
A Fool’s politics are anarchistic. Fools are resilient, and are willing to stand up and try again despite failing. The Fool enjoys the contest of the wits even in the most dangerous or offensive of circumstances, and hates being bored.
Shadow Fool:
When such energy is not allowed, it simply goes underground, and in doing so becomes negative, undermining force. The Shadow Fool delights in breaking rules, regardless of the consequences. Unbridled and undisciplined sensuality, madness, and multiple personalities or personas are usually the results of the force of the Shadow Fool. The Shadow Fool has an unrealistic vision of what is required for survival, emotions, and relationships and believes that in order to succeed at conventional norms, one must work all of the time, so there is no use in undertaking any conventional task.
Response to Dragon/Problem: Transcend it
Task: Attain enlightenment
Gift: Wisdom, non-attachment
Addictions: Being right, tranquilizers
Sages:
Sages have little or no need to control or change the world; they just want to understand it. The Sage’s path is the journey to find out the truth– about ourselves, our world, and the universe. However, it is not simply about finding knowledge, but about becoming wise. The challenge of the Sage is to decode the clue and solve the underlying riddle of existence. They seek to cultivate and attitude of dispassionate reflection so that they can experience real truth. The Sage merely watches the action, while looking for the underlying truth.
Shadow Sage:
The Shadow Sage is not so much unattached as cut off from reality. S/he is so obsessed by non-attachment that s/he cannot commit to people, projects, or ideas. Sometimes a Negative Sage deludes her/himself with the idea that his provides him/her with freedom, but s/he is not free at all. The negative Sage is addicted to being perfect and truthful and right and has no tolerance of normal human feelings or vulnerabilities. Such a Sage often tends towards ascetic practices and constantly derides the self or others for any sign of not being perfect.
Shadow Sages also tend to try to make the world seem less mysterious by limiting the number of acceptable ways of perceiving reality. Such individuals are also incapable of acknowledging the way that their own subjective biases colour their supposedly rational findings. Shadow Sages typically want to control knowledge in such a way that it is not threatening by focusing on a style that correspond to their learning style. Knowledge, then, becomes a way of showing superiority to others. Their primary focus thus becomes not on the attainment of wisdom itself, but on the evaluation of others. Whatever relative truth they have discovered is identified with absolute truth, and their primary focus is in guarding this truth from assaults by the barbarians.

The one thing I got out of this is that I lack flavor. My lower tiers are Magician, Warrior, Seeker, Destroyer, Ruler and Orphan. On the other hand, Sage? Okay, that makes me feel good. But Innocent? Kind of bland. Creator? Bland. Ish. Fool? Well yes sometimes. Caregiver? Not really. Lover? lol
It's weird how Magician and Creator is switched up when I do the peer percentages.

I got Creator, like most of the people here and probably elsewhere as well, based on the statistics at the bottom.
However, I believe the self is more malleable and creative than we like to believe and we don't really have a "true" self that gives us inclinations from the beginning.
It's interesting because there's research going in both directions, some which tell us that our personalities are stable and do not change while others tell us our identities are more fluid than we think.
I think at this stage of neuroscience and psychology, we often let our biases seep through in interpreting results or even in the type of questions we ask. Maybe decades from now, things will be a lot more solid and we'll begin to see indications of how things really are.
In any case, I'd like to learn, in this context, how to be a Creator, a Magician, a Sage, and a Seeker. Those are the "archetypes" that attract me most at the present moment.
Relative to the people who took the test, I am more of a Magician although reading the description, I'm not sure if I entirely can believe that I can relate to it.
