Okay, so who do INTPs get along with?

I think the same

If only ISTJ's were good teachers...they are good at what they do..but teaching it in a way another can understand is essentially impossible for the two I have experienced.

It depends on your relationship purpose. If you wanna discuss something, its better to talk to an NT.
My friends are not NTs, im not in ideas exploration mode when im with them, its more of a childhood/playful state of mind: video games, talks about chicks/sports.
Im dating an ENFJ, shes smart but doesnt think outside the box just like i do. Sometimes she doesnt get me when i talk about religion or potential improvements of something, etc. She doesnt even try to get to the roots, she's wired differently, she's happy listening to me, she gets happy when im happy about something, she'll understand it, but dont expect a rich brainstorming about some topic, cause its very unlikely to happen. (she's an odontologyst BTW)
But as i know that, i try to avoid that kind of deep discussions, maybe i just point it out, make my point, but i dont go further with her in that aspect; and she knows me, so then she doesnt take it personally when i discuss about something, cause she knows thats the way i am.

Its about understanding each other, to avoid nonsense discussions and to understand the role of every person that surrounds you.
I dont fuck my friends just as i dont try to have an intellectual epiphany with my girlfriend.

NF's and NT's easily. I only get along with S types for a short while before becoming annoyed. Certain S types and individuals piss me off pretty quickly. My best friend is an (probable) ESFP and is very religious. I can't figure that one out, but shows it's not all up to type.

Maybe you got to know him when young, way before you developed your T function.
Thats why he can get away with stuff that no one else can currently.
That kinda happens to me, i got friends who are S or F, and its ok, but now i tend to dismiss making new friends with that kind of functions.

I usually find that I get on pretty well with people who have similar values and experiences to me, and/or where I have found ways to understand those who have different values and experiences to me, and ways to communicate with them so that they understand me. I used to think it was down to type. But in my experience, it seems to me, to be more about shared values and shared experiences.

No I met him as an adult in my 40's. He's a little unusual for an S, but the fact is that as much as I like him I wouldn't want to hang out with him all the time. We see each other once a day at work for a half hour or so.

It is normal to spend more time at work with people that one hates, such as bosses that are universally hated by everyone.

I'd like to say no one, because that's why they are INTPs. ;)

In my head.
My best friend was an INFP. I get along pretty well with INTJs, when we aren't arguing, and I'm not brooding. My other closest friend was an ISFJ, but they could get on my nerves, and they were more of a IxFx.
