Here to bring back the love!
I think it has happened. I never though it would. I am now absolutely terrible at competitive computer gaming. Is this common as one grow older?
If you want to be a good gamer, stick with just one game for as long as possible.
To compete good you need a few hundred hours of playing a game.
A good screen and a good mouse help too.
Did you do a barrel roll?
I was pretty damn good at sc2 six months ago but then I stopped playing because it got boring. Now my friends are all playing and they're kicking my noob ass.
I don't see where you went wrong then.![]()

A lot has changed in the last 6 months. Your learned hotkey responses have weakened, the meta game has changed, unit balance has changed, maps have changed, technology has been removed, your friends have got better and your general understanding of the game has probably worsened. It is no surprise your friends are beating you, particularly if you play zerg (do you?). How good were you, and how good are your friends? If you play at a high level I would be stupefied if you didn't get creamed.
I was in plat six months ago. This is on SEA by the way.
