Not that I necessarily agree with this typing, but why would it be so odd for a Ne dom to be a recluse? They get their stimulation thought brainstorming, taking in information and playing with it and the resulting abstract connections, which can be done without much human contact. Granted, you can get information from other people, exchange and bounce off ideas but you can also get information from inanimate sources like books and the internet.

You are quite right, I have a couple of ENTP friends and they do have a propensity to be reclusive. Though at times it seems to be reflective of the company they keep.
