^ Anyone still remembers that quote?

Hi guys :) Only recently did I manage to adjust my profile from INTJ to INTP -- and with quite some relief, I must say. Somehow, the former didn't sit well with me -- while the profile described me in a remarkably accurate fashion, the people I talked to on another forum (who typed INTJ) didn't strike a vibe of "BINGO! That is my tribe, those are my people!".

Here? I've been reading the "You know you're an INTP when..." thread for 3 days, and it was fascinating to see how much I was not a J person.

I guess most of you know the story of misunderstood child-weird teen-asocial adult, so I'll skip that part in favour of sharing my hobbies. To be honest, I hope to find people with similar passions here, so that the innate procastination circle and motivation downfall can finally be put to a halt.

I enjoy playing games (be it board, pen&paper RPGs or computer), but creating them is where the real fun starts. As with anything, most of the concepts never get written down, let alone see the light of day -- they seem too much of a hassle to execute (in that regard, the brain is the most perfect platform humanity has ever discovered...). I believe, however, that with the right people, one can overcome such petty barriers and create something great, or at least entertaining :)

Anyway, I'm really happy to be here, and quite glad I finally got around to clicking that Register button. Now off to lurk some more ^^

Hrm. Foxes... They always creep into my writing. I can never say why. Possibly a childhood experience.

I approve, at any rate. :3

Welcome oh-pseudo INTJ.

(They're basically mostly boring pricks over on INTJforum:))

Not as boring as one might think -- a bit stubborn, a bit careless in expressing opinions, but overall not a bad bunch ;)

Although I do miss the branching in threads which I just ADORE here -- it is beyond my understanding to not be able to follow a thought while debating another topic which arose from a different subject.

Well I just found the rules to be too tight and the overlords to be too malicious. The general community was quite intriguing though, they certainly weren't as squeamish as the folk in these parts.

Here the rules are very loose, and the mods rarely if ever dish out punishment save for when someone really does threaten the community.

I just despise any community which seeks to modify its members behaviours so heavily, and takes apparent joy in doing so.
True, I didn't stay for long, perhaps I'll take another stab at it when I'm drunk or just plain miserable.
(For example, I'm pretty sure they have a 'Don't mention trolls' rule which would have gotten you disciplined or at the very least scolded on making this topic. :3 I got my first warning for saying someone 'wasn't a troll', and the moderator interpreted it as sarcasm)

Trolling in INTJf is something specific, IMO. Sometimes, you can't really tell if it is sarcasm or trolling.

So far I didn't manage to get any kind of warning :P Except for that one time I used the phrase "Hajimemashite" in the welcoming section to greet new people, as that stood against the "English only" rule. Agreed that mods are pretty much kings of their own castles around those parts.

It is something worth investigating that here the rules seem to be really laid back and I can't see any trolling, while people with the J letter seem to try and stretch the boundaries as much as they can.

Still, any forum that can freelly talk about sex, relationships and other (for some reason) taboo things is a good one in my book :)

When all sarcasm is outlawed,
all INTPs will be outlaws. :)

You'll have to buy all the preliminary paraphernalia that goes along with being an INTP in INTP forum. You can make the check out me, thanks. I'll make sure the money goes to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. Just make sure to bring your own provisions as troll feeding is discretionary.

Why, hello dear! Welcome!

I know you must be a bit dazed from your trip over here -- we all are, whether or not we like to admit it, as these typology forums are such intimidating places! -- but you're safe for now. Over to the left there's a table of sweets, with brownies, cupcakes and the like, although a bit too sugary for my taste, I must say, and to your right you'll find the laboratory.

I recommend the sweets table first. A sugar rush is always better to have before actually venturing to explore these parts. And if sugar isn't your cup of tea, then there's a vast collection of alcohol hiding behind the intentionally long table cloth.

Down there you'll most likely find either Cognisant or Melkor suckling on an empty bottle of vodka or whiskey.
