Are you good with managing money? How much do you need personally to be happy with life? How much do you feel you should work for money?

I'm frugal.

I don't need money to be personally happy with my life. Money is paper.

Terrible at being frugal with cash, but I don't have large money management concerns yet. I require enough cash to acquire basic self-sustainment to be personally satsified with my money situation. How much do I feel I should work for money? I don't really get the question, as little as my skills allow me to?

I wish I could build a plate that creates infinite food, every mealtime, or something, then I wouldn't starve to death even without money.

My problem is income, not outgo. With a family to support (two kids, a spouse, two dogs, three cats, a house, 3 acres of land, etc., etc.), I really can't just sit on my ass accepting someone else's generosity as a means of getting by in the world (ah, to be young again).

So, I've learned to be frugal because all my other choices are bad ones, and because I've chosen some career paths rather than others (for personal reasons) and generating vast quantities of money hasn't been on my agenda.

My money managing skills are cyclic chaos. I can save up vast amounts of money over extended periods of time, with no definite goal in mind. I can also spend vast amounts of money on absolutely trivial objects in the blink of an eye. In the end, I see no need for financial planning and fretting, money is merely there to satisfy my impulsive whims. As is quite evident, I have not yet had the burden of financial independence thrust upon my shoulders.

I am good at managing and saving for retirement. I tend to enjoy the experiment of life. If I have enough for that then I will be happy. I only work as much as needed if we are talking about paying the bills but I do enjoy work at home in regards to my personal goals in life. Some people go to school and I am self teaching to start my own business.

I think it is all relative. Your perceived income problem is just as much a factor of your personal choices than anything else. You chose to get married, chose to have children, (or at least chose to partake in actions that would lead to children), chose to have dogs and cats, a house with a large parcel of land. These are all results of personal choices that you made. In a parallel universe, you might have chosen to remain single, chosen to live off the land, and may have not needed an income to live.

Awful, just effing useless. As a single person I never went into debt or anything: I just never spent money on anything and went around always assuming I was broke, never really knowing my overall financial situation.

My ISTJ wife runs a budget to the cent, so we can actually - you know - have things, and save.

I'm very bad with money, I give evrything away... that's why I need to earn a lot of money, so I can spend some without much worries. Although, I don't buy unnecessary shits.
