Well in the article he's taking the 'so what?' attitude so it's likely. But I think he'll just try to downplay it.

Still what I meant. I mean I can ask Obama to tell me what his healthcare thingy is all about and I'm pretty sure he won't be giving details. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I do the same with my boss. I craft his proposals and work with him as a peer. After cleaning the proposal, he then markets it as if the whole office did it.

Milo seems to be more of a showman rather than a researcher and he's doing it well. If he acts more as a spearhead then he will lose some time on being a dick er... provocateur.

It's because he's selling himself to a certain crowd: the MRA's.

But I suggest that you don't worry about it too much. This type of people tend to self-destruct once they start believing in their own personal myth.

This utterly fails to explain how he can do something like an 8 hour live-stream, give talks at universities that are mostly Q&A, nail interviews from less-than-friendly media outlets, win debates, etc. He's definitely his own person, he's just getting a bit of help to spread "himself" so wide.

If you're saying he's influenced by the ideas of others... who isn't?

Milo is hilarious, well-spoken and doing good work by attacking third-wave feminism.

That being said, he is by his own admission not what we think of as a conventional homosexual.

Milo is, by his OWN admission, attracted to being taboo. He has a sexual desire to be in the wrong. If you listen to the Joe Rogan Experience with him, it's impossible not to see that most of what he does has to do with his need to be on the "wrong" side of the zeitgeist. I recall him basically saying he started to sleep with men just to get under his mother's skin.

He's a bit of a caricature. He is an interesting set piece in the political world, being the flamboyantly gay conservative guy. But he's a set piece nonetheless. His positions are calculated, as is his persona.

Well, it isn't sitting idle anymore and irrespective of ones own inclination or motive leaders are emerging to lead it.

Smells opportunistic but that's what it should smell like. Nothing he is saying is news to me. It shouldn't be news to anybody. We've (middle-aged people) been around long enough to know who our enemies are and who our friends are. Lines so to speak exist.

It's good to have male reactionary screamers to counter the female screamers and ensure neither deluded political agenda moves forward until the entire topic is completely put to rest and loses all of its available capital.

It's the same as keeping a standing army to avoid losing wars. Some force is necessary to have the opponent consider achieving their goals via diplomacy or trade instead.

The problem with this is obviously that the army's agenda becomes to stay instrumental and so both armies become allied under the same goal to achieve their covert internal goals despite being on the opposing sides of the publicly announced allegiance. US army needed USSR's army to stay strong in order to keep their funding levels, or at least made them a feared threat, etc.

Same here, both opponents gain by fighting each other and achieving greater amounts of attention than they would otherwise have, while the playground conflict is on they recruit supporters from the neutral population and polarise the society even more.
