I just don't believe that, or I can't believe it rather. For one thing, I don't believe your reason for opposition is of skeptical nature. You see, if you truly believed that we will fail to create any empirical evidence supporting our work, you wouldn't be freaking out about us. You would say "Psh, as if!" and then not even give us a second thought. I think the fact that you are so threatened by us is a pretty clear indication that you believe we are actually capable of what we have set out to do.

I'm also having a hard time believe that this is not some personal vendetta, I mean, you were literally just manipulating Dormouse to siphon information about your own personality out of me... What... a week ago?

I have to admit I didn't approach this thread seriously at all since it was presented in such an emotional manner. Sparrow's responses have been increasingly emotional as well. He mentions that he's making an emotional appeal and is saddened that it's not taken seriously on this forum. Obviously he should be able to make an emotional plea if he wants and we should be willing to take him seriously. I need to learn that emotional based arguments can be valid in some contexts. However, we are human and INTP. If you wanted your argument to be taken seriously, sparrow, you should have better considered the format in which you presented it to us. You have to think about your audience. If you did you must have known that making an emotional appeal would garner you no small amount of scorn.

What's this BS about Adymus? All I have seen him do is rote repetition of an Other's programming, like some cult followers i have met acting as mouthpieces for their Exalted Leader.

The MBTI is an interesting toy and little else. Yes, there are physical and neurological correlations for each of Jung's original scales, however, in the end analysis, the MBTI is just an indicator of subjective biases and preferences - not KSAs. I am an INTP, but I can choose to be, E, F, S, J whenever I choose to be - whenever it is profitable and convenient. It is just that my mere personal preferences and comfort levels categorize me into one of 16 little boxes of the MBTI, as an INTP.

So pod'lair stereotypes using the MBTI, so what...! Every group stereotypes on the US versus THEM scale. If there is any validity to Thomas's theories, then perhaps it can evolve into a useful tool. However, tools in themselves are amoral, neither good nor evil. It is the User that can be judged good or evil, not the tool. I have not seen anything of Thomas that would suggest that he is evil or has a agenda to do evil...

Of course, there are such things as hidden agendas...lol

I fear I may have added to this perception. By accepting Sparrow's definition of his thread as an emotional appeal I was attempting to be tolerant of his view point for the sake of discussion. I apologize.
